Go for the wine, stay for the beer - Wonderful experience to learn about the Rome / Italy thriving craft beer community. Orso was an exceptional guide who has formerly worked at a brewery. I am a homebrewer and it was great to have in depth discussion on brewery styles and techniques...with the right touch of history...where I learned new things. Each stop had a very different feel and the beers were tasty!

Pigneto between beer and art - Very pleasant walk through the streets of Pigneto, a neighborhood frequented mainly by the inhabitants of Rome. The quality of the beers tasted was excellent and a very interesting way to learn about the street art of the area, thanks also to the anecdotes of the excellent guide Silvia. Highly recommended!

Brilliant, just brilliant! - This is a must do on the first day! I arrived in Rome in the morning and booked for the 1600 tour best thing I could have done! Silvia was an amazing guide not only explaining the history of craft beer and obviously taking me to those hidden gems for a tipple. She took time to pop into buildings, courtyards and walkways and showed me the hidden gems that most tourists haven’t heard of! Amazing tour but a more amazing knowledgeable tour guide! 🙏 next time I’m in Rome I will definitely be booking the food tour!

Surprise your friends and drink some beer in Rome! - Gennaro (hope I spelled it right) was a very nice guide. He took us to the three stops (previously mentioned in other reviews) and provided interesting information along the way. He was kind enough to go out of the way so we could see the Trevi fountain. I also loved seeing a few places that tourists generally don't go. On another note, I didn't really expect to share a flight at the second stop or the final beer - was hoping to sample more (not quantity to drink, but variety). A good tour though and nice way to see part of the city.

Not worth the money - Our total beer sampling was one 1/4 pint of Peroni, one can of choice at a bottle shop and a shared 5 glass flight at Balldin brewery. Our tour was pushed from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm on a Saturday night, and the two pubs we tried to get into were slammed. No advance reservations or bookings with the proprietors had been arranged. They could have cared less who we were or who we were with. A very long walk between stop 1 and 2. Guide, Sylvia was engaging but really did not know enough about beer. Any other tour we have been on the establishments expected us and greeted us with open arms, but not in this case. Never really got inside the first stop and waited about 50 minutes for a table at the 2nd stop. There was to be a snack somewhere along the way, but instead the guide offered chips as a “peace offering” for making us wait, when she was unorganized. Worst tour we have ever taken with Viator.
