We were lucky: a beautiful, sunny day and a fascinating visit, well cobducted - Ostia Antica We took two trains to see the ancient port: Ostia Antica. We met our guide Upon the way, Claudia, born and taught In Chile, spoke about it on the ride. We walked the old port in the morning sun From end to end, three miles of history Three thousand years since first it was begun While Claudia revealed its mystery. The lives of Romans who lived there revealed The buildings echoed with their long lost voice And we were glad that we had made this choice. A lovely day, with sun and interest. A pleasant tour, a guide who did her best.

A beautiful break from busy Rome - Ostia Antica was a pleasant day out of the city - quiet, green, and open. The theatre and mosaics are beautiful. Walking the streets of the ancient city brought the history to life. Sara, our guide, was excellent. She had many engaging stories to share. And we ended the day with a quick trip down to the beach, just a few stops further along.

Tour guide never showed! - Picks different company! We were at the meeting place an hour early and waited almost 30 minutes after we were supposed to have left- and the GUIDE NEVER SHOWED UP! We went there on our own though, with zero help from the tour company or guide! 😤😠😡🤬 At least they did refund our payment, but never the less, we wanted to learn from the guide and didn’t get to. Very disappointing!!!
