Additional Information

The Pantheon stands as a fundamental cornerstone of Rome’s heritage, and any tour of the city would be incomplete without witnessing this magnificent edifice. The allure of the Pantheon is unquestionable. Esteemed French author Stendahl characterized it as “the most splendid testament of ancient Rome, a temple so well conserved, it appears as if we’re viewing it through the eyes of the Romans themselves.” Discover the historic edifice through a Pantheon walking tour, offered in four languages. Gaze at the globally largest freestanding dome and uncover the notorious tomb of Raphael.

Uncover how a Roman temple transitioned into the final resting abode for luminaries and monarchs. Marvel at the massive dome with its oculus and navigate through the well-known crypts. Unravel the history and obscure truths about the most impeccably preserved monument from Ancient Rome on a one-hour curated tour of the Pantheon. Understand how the basilica has symbolized Rome’s monumental prestige for over two millennia.

Skip the line Pantheon visit. - The skip the line is definitely the way to go. If you didn’t have this type of ticket you were waiting in two separate lines for hours, one line to buy the ticket, and the other line to gain entry. Well worth the price. We were inside the Pantheon in seconds with this pass

The Coliseum, a masterpiece of architecture - The Pantheon of Rome is probably not the most popular monument compared to the Colosseum for example. Nestled in the heart of an old quarter, a stone’s throw from Piazza Navona, this monument contrasts an austere exterior appearance with its interior richness adorned with polychrome marbles. But to really appreciate the Colosseum you have to have some elements about its architectural specificities such as the fact that it is the largest dome of antiquity made of Roman concrete: quicklime and pozzolans that have resisted more than 2000 years to the work of time.

Excellent experience - No guide needed here but the audio guide was excellent. Many crowds though and quite warm this time of year.

Queue jumping legally - We purchased Skip the line tickets through Get Your Guide. We booked for 11am and met at them meeting point at 10.40am. There were 10 people in our group. The guide a very nice man then took us the 2minute walk to the already heaving area outside the Pantheon, we then proceed to politely push our way through the crowds right to the very front of the queue (much to the annoyance of people already in the queue). To be honest we all said we would do this again because the queue was just ridiculous. Once inside you go on your own its an attraction that you can stay in for as long as you like we were there for an hour. Would recommend.

A monument worth seeing but get a skip the line ticket - Amazing place. It is cheap enough to buy a ticket but if the tickets were expensive I wouldn’t bother as all the churches in Rome are amazing inside. Always get a skip the line ticket or you will be waiting hours to get in which will be unpleasant if you have to queue in the heat. The tomb of Raphael and the guarded tomb of the first King of Italy are the highlights. There is lots of seats and a little gift shop.

Pantheon Tour - The tour was OK at best. The guide was about 10 minutes late. She hit a few of the high spots and left us on our own. I think you could have gotten more information from the Audio Guide.

Horribly disorganized - Employees were completely worthless in helping tourists. Don’t buy from the machine. Ended up paying twice because they kept changing the lines. Absolutely awful experience with workers.
