Our first cooking experience offers sauce-making on the side of the fettuccine pasta-making!
The new Pesto and Pasta class is held in our private cooking lab in a local restaurant on Piazza Navona, in the heart of Rome.
This is one of the very few sauce-making classes in the city, and we chose pesto for various reasons!
Pesto is one of the healthiest, and easiest types of traditional Italian sauce that one can make with their pasta. Fresh, full of vitamins, and it has many health benefits. It doesn’t need to be cooked either, which helps us avoid the kitchen and potential accidents.
On the side of the pesto, we make our own traditional Italian Fettuccine pasta. We’ll guide you through the making, and the chef of the restaurant will cook this for you.
The pesto with pasta will be served at the table where you’re accommodated, with the appetizers and drink on the side that’s included in this experience!

We meet guests inside Ristorante Panzirone. Arrival time 10 minutes early. Upon arrival, ask the restaurant staff to take you to the activity.

Nice workshop - I always wanted to learn to make pesto, and I heard in the original region of it there are some workshops, but I was only traveling to Rome, so I didn’t even think that this workshop existed. And it does! Thank you for teaching me how to make my favorite italian sauce and pasta!

Cooking pesto and pasta - This class was great, the kitchen was a true restaurant kitchen, clean, and air conditioned. Emilio was our chef/instructor. His directions were easy to understand and he made sure we had it down before moving on. He was even gracious enough to take pictures for us. I took this class with my son (18) who also loved it. Definitely a must do.

Authentic pasta and pest making - We had a fabulous time with Chef Daniel. He was a great teacher who explained the processes clearly, and approached the class with passion and enthusiasm, making the class fun. The end result was a delicious meal. Highly recommend this experience.

Perfect beginner class and evening activity for Rome - Bea was a great instructor easy to follow directions and nice conversation. After seven hours of touring Rome, it was the perfect end to our day. I was amazed at how easy it was to make pasta. The pesto tasted delicious. We are excited about being able to make our own pesto and pasta at home.
We also appreciated it that our pesto and pasta was labeled so that we got to eat what we made.

Who Knew? - Making handmade pesto with pasta was spectacularly original! I eat pesto all the time, but never thought to make it myself. The chef was patient, helpful and highly resourceful to our diet-diverse small group. I'm glad we booked it. The pesto sauced pasta we made tasted delicious. We'll re-live this vacation highlight again and again when we make our own homemade pesto and pasta.

Fun and informative class! - My daughter and I wanted to learn how to make pesto and this is the class for it! It’s a traditional pesto sauce for cooking and feels very authentic. Our instructor was Daniel and he was knowledgeable, patient and helpful. The kitchen is very clean and they had good hygiene. At the end, we got to eat our pasta in pesto sauce and it was delish!

Great experiance - We looooooove pesto, and we loved so much this cooking class where we learned to make traditional Italian pesto!! I realized we were not doing it correctly before and the Italian pesto is much better, so from now on we make this at home for our pasta! Thanks a lot!
