Fantastic pompeii trip - What a fantastic trip this was , although a long day but definitely well worth it , just to see pompeii made my day and the sights of the beautiful city of Sorrento, The guide we had Patricia was lovely and treated us all like family

Such a fun experience! - William, our tour guide in Pompeii was absolutely amazing! So funny and brought such a bright and charming aspect to the tour that we were not expecting. Would definitely recommend trying to get into his group when visiting.
Sorrento was stunning. Limoncello experience was amazing!

Lovely experience - Sonja was friendly, informative and entertaining. I also highly appreciate stocking up the coach with cool water bottles. Pompei and Sorrento were both brilliant experiences. I did not enjoy the food available at the Cassino stopover between Rome and Naples, but that's okay.

Great tour guide Sonia and bus driver Andre. - Great tour guide Sonia and bus driver Andre. Only wish for longer time in Sorrento as a little rushed (swim only and no lunch so had to wait until after Pompeii) and an hour in Pompeii was enough (instead of 2 hrs). Stops to and from was a little long but overall great experience. Bus was awesome too.

A long day but a great day out, once in a lifetime ... do it - We set out on the day trip and unfortunately there was a car accident on the highway which caused a delay and our tour ended up being 15 hours long, but it was a great day, stunning views of Amalfi coast, Sorrento was beautiful and Pompeii was a bucket list item for me. I didn't like the stop in Cassino, it didn't add any benefit to the trip except maybe a toilet stop and ? the need for the driver to have a break and smoke his cigar. Sonja was an exceptional host, we thoroughly enjoyed her shared knowledge and passion for teaching people about her homeland, it was really great, I'll never forget. Worth every cent.

Great Day - This was definitely a long day, but so worth it! Our guide Paola was amazing and made sure we got to see everything. I don’t know how our bus driver Andreu managed the drive along the coast but it will be something I certainly won’t forget. Bring plenty of water and good walking shoes!

Great day trip - This was great day trip !! Had several stops which we were able to shop and free time . The last stop is Pompeii and than we stopped for food . I would not suggest getting the pizza on the last stop as it was cold . You get an hour in Sorrento go eat at that time . Sofia was the guide and I believe last name was with a G . She was very informative and pleasant

Best way to make the most of a day - This was such a great day trip from Rome. John B was a wonderful guide - keeping us both entertained and organized. He is a wealth of knowledge and jokes. And he spent the last 30 minutes of our trip home answering any questions we had to make the most of the rest of our journey. Our trip sounds a bit different than other reviews - we were on a bus. Our driver Giovanni managed those narrow streets with incredible skill and calm. The whole trip was flawlessly organized - including pre planned rest stops and the option to order takeaway pizza. It meant not a minute was wasted waiting for food or bathrooms and all of our time could be spent enjoying the sites. Our guide (Willy) in Pompei was funny and charming, while guiding us through the highlights and helping us manage the crowds. Highly recommend this trip, especially if you have limited time that you want to maximize while getting outside of Rome.

Plan for all day - Laura was an amazing tour guide and Sergie was an excellent bus driver. She is so knowledgeable about all things Italy and he can navigate a coach bus through Italian streets like a professional! Pompeii was interesting but hot and crowded. Our group was too large. It was difficult to see sometimes because there were so many people. Sorrento was beautiful but a quick walking tour would have been fine and then we head back to Rome. Viator could do better about making it very clear that this is a 13 hour day, 7-8 of which is spent on a bus. It was a good tour and our guides were awesome but it wasn’t our favorite.

Worst day tour experience ever - I am sure this review will be deleted by Viator once they see it. Terrible experience- we were at the site well in advance of the meeting time of 8.40 AM. The local operators came about 20 minutes late and told us we were late, and the bus had left. Viator kept the entire $568.44 they charged us for the trip. Very unprofessional, dubious and shady. They give a beautiful country like Italy a bad name but I do not think they will care - they are a business and out of Ireland.
