A Wonderful Day Trip - Our day trip to Pompeii, Positano and the Amalfi Coast was wonderful! Giuseppe was great, a knowledgeable and fun guide at Pompeii. Fabio our driver was fantastic and made our day trip complete. His patience with two American ladies was greatly appreciated! We would definitely recommend this tour! 👏

A Great Day! - We were totally impressed with Fabio our driver!! He was prompt, so thoughtful and helpful during our ride to Pompeii, Amalfi Coast and Positano. We cannot say enough! Our tour with Giuseppe in Pompeii was very entertaining and informative. He was very knowledgeable! We enjoyed our experience during our visit very much. It was a fun filled day and definitely worth the money spent!

Pompeii, Sorrento & Positano adventure - Pros: Fabio was our driver and guide for the day and he was wonderful. My husband has mobility issues and Fabio was so patient and attentive. He even got an umbrella that my husband could use as a cane.
I loved the small group setting. There were only 6 of us.
Hector, the guide at Pompeii was entertaining and very knowledgeable.
Fabio took amazing pics of us in Sorrento and knew all the best angles. I can’t say enough good things about the way he took care of us.
Cons: we were packed into a mini van with 4 people comfortably seated in the back but my husband and I had to squeeze next to the driver on the front seat. It made for an uncomfortable drive.
The a/c on the van was not working properly and it was a very hot day.
Would have liked to split our time between Sorrento & Positano. We had almost 3 hours in Positano but we only stopped for a short time in Sorrento to take pics and visit Limoncello factory.
Maybe the tour could start in Sorrento then Positano and end at Pompeii. The over 4 hour drive back from Positano to Rome was brutal especially with the a/c not working properly.

See Amalfi and if you have 3 hours see Pompei - Amazing history, Amalfi, Pompey where two visits I consider important.
Pompey was great history. Amalfi was amazing coastal visit for site seeing, restaurant food and beautiful beaches.
Give yourself the whole day unless you are staying closer to Pompei

Day trip to Pompei and Positano - Peiro was great! He made our day very enjoyable in some tough weather conditions. Very professional and took care of us to make sure we knew where to go and meet. Enjoyable!

Fabius was great! - The trip itself was great but don’t tick the ticket and guide pre-purchase option. I paid double the amount of the other passengers (and they chose no ticket, no guide) we all got the same experience. This is a sham!! Viator also refused to give me a refund! Be careful!!

Skip it - First off, this is not a tour. It is a taxi ride to Pompeii with an add-on option of a tour of the historical site. We did the guided tour with a popular guide, Hector, who seemed to know evryone there. We enjoyed exploring the site and hearing his stories. The site was pretty crowded and it got worse throughout the day. It is also challenging to navigate. I wouldn't want to try with a stroller, small children, or mobility aids.
There were three other stops. Two hours in Positano, an insanely packed town on the Amalfi coast, a tourist trap peddling mediocre limoncello, and a gas station with a shop. The Positano drop-off point is Garage Mandara. I recommend researching lunch places in the area before arrival so you can move quickly. Prices were quite high. On the way there and back, you wind along the Amalfi Coast a bit. But the majority of the drive is not particularly scenic. Lots of time in tunnels as well.
Our driver spoke essentially no English which caused some challenges. He spoke about a dozen words for the duration of the trip. The minivan was dated, dirty, and beat up. The air-conditioning did not work well and there is no space to store even a cup or bag. That becomes more of an issue when you're spending 7-8 hours in the van. We spent even longer in the van because we unwittingly scheduled the tour on a national holiday and got stuck in traffic.

Unacceptable vehicle - First, a positive. The driver assigned to the trip was outstanding, very personable and professional, a pleasure to be with. However, the car assigned was unacceptable, with seats forward and backward facing, barely any space, and rickety. The driver told us that the car was a replacement. I paid a significant amount for a trip was interesting but far from comfortable. We were with another family, which was considerate enough to be facing backward for the entire trip. Not sure what they paid, but for us, not worth the money at all - do not recommend.

Non raccomando - worse, I don't recommend it to anyone, all old cars, drivers that run, once you purchase the package there is no refund and they don't respect the contract
