Our trip from Rome to... - Our trip from Rome to Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii was incredible! Climbing Mount Vesuvius offered stunning views, and exploring Pompeii was a fascinating dive into history. The tour was well-organized, and our guide was knowledgeable, bringing the ancient ruins of Pompeii to life with detailed stories. We covered a lot in one day, and the experience was both educational and memorable. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see these historic sites!

Rome to Pompeii in 12 Hours - The trip was long, but well organized. Our guide was Laura & Johnny was the driver. Laura was very informative and spoke almost incessantly…I was captivated by her enthusiasm & recollections but wondered if she was actually breathing between sentences

Wonderful guide, very thoughtfully planned tour - Antonino and Cesare were amazing! Wonderful tour guide and expert bus driver (even on the scary cliffs up to Vesuvius!) This was a very thoughtfully planned and wonderful tour, with stops in Pompeii, a great lunch on the way to Vesuvius, and climbing up to see the crater. Since we were ahead of schedule Antonino even arranged for a surprise Limoncello tasting at one of the oldest and most famous distilleries! I would recommend this to anyone looking for an adventure with a great itinerary and wonderful people.

Fantastic toud - This tour was fantastic on every level. Tour guide Marie was fantastic, providing lots of information on the history for each site as well as various spots along the way. She connected with everyone from the beginning by asking each of us where we were from. She has great people skills and Made sure to make friendly light hearted conversation including making some jokes. Our driver Andrea was also amazing, he show real skill behind the wheel and navigating into tight spots. All of the locations were fantastic with lots of in-depth information and plenty of time for photos

Great Pompeii Tour - This Pompeii Tour was great and well organized. Our guide met us at the time and location specified. The tour bus was comfortable and air conditioned, which was great because it was July and very hot outside. The guide at the ruins was very knowledgeable, explained everything we were seeing, gave us time to walk around, take pictures, she was great. We did the hike up Mt. Vesuvius. It’s a steep hike, but not very long. We had enough time to get to the top and visit all three gift stands, take pictures and just take it all in. If you’ve never been to Pompeii this is a great day trip from Rome and well worth the money.

Not enough information when making booking - Booked a Pompeii/geologist tour of MT Vesuvious from Rome. Check in was shambilic. Got put into one queue and then when we got to the front got told we were in the wrong queue by the same person. Happened to a few other people too. Reading reviews seems like a thing. The tour itself was okay but in hindsight I wish I had booked a bus trip only and did my own tour of Pompeii. We have read and watched a fair few docos about it and felt I learnt nothing from the tour guide and had less than 2 hours there (out of a 12 hour day). Could easily have spent twice that. Be warned the bus trip up to Mt Vesuvious is not for the faint hearted. Most people loved the trip up the mountain and if that's what you want to do then that's great but for us if we had known that so much time would be spent on a bus climbing up it we would have passed. Plus I had opted for the geologist tour and it was non existant. Infact the tour guide had no idea what it was when I asked about it. It wasn't all bad, I just wish I had had more of an idea of the actual itinerary when I booked as I would have made other choices.

More wasted time than experience time - Travel time to and from Pompeii (3+hrs) is broken up by 30 minutes stops to bathroom/tourist shops. Due to bad weather and cancellation of Vesuvius, we had an additional 30 minute bathroom/ tourist stop at Limoncello factory on our way to Sorrento. 90 minutes free time to walk around town then back on bus to head for lunch before Pompeii. Arrived to lunch just before 3PM. By the time we were served it was after 4:15 before we walked thru the gates in Pompeii and had to be done by 5:30pm so we felt very rushed. Wish the ride down and up had been filled with more information about Pompeii, Vesuvius or anything historical. I have taken this trip before and had a wonderful bus guide full of information so I was disappointed that this ride had virtually none. Although some riders might have appreciated hearing for 30 minutes about the struggles of a Romans daily commute into the city or a how to pay it forward by purchasing a coffee for a future customer or several discussions on how tipping in Italy is not expected but appreciated, we would have preferred to hear more about the history of Italy, its regions, etc. Our tour guide in Pompeii was wonderful, which is the opposite of the last time I looked this exact tour. Last time our guide was more interested in talking to people on our tour about "when he lived in America" so we were very happy with the information we got from our Pompeii guide this time, even though we had a very short time there. Be prepared for a very long day. Leave at 7:30 AM and arrive back at 9:30 PM. So just like our last Pompeii/Vesuvus trip it was a mixed bag. Since you can't pick your guides it's a gamble. Would I do it again with someone who has not been, maybe.

Not happy - Our guide on the bus Martha, was great and we would give her four stars but the whole tour was a two star. Why? Let me tell you … we had 75 minuttes to see Pompeji and our guide Willy was in souch a hurry that it was a joke. At Vesuvio we were told, if you can’t reach the top in 30 minuttes turn around and come back. We did it in 20 minuttes and where back at the bus at time only to find out that our guide came 15 minutes later! Then we had to stop at a Lemoncello place to see if they could sell us some products. This was NOT mentioned in the tour description and these 45 minuttes could have been spent at Pompeji.
