Embark on an 8-hour trip from Rome to the historical remains of Pompeii. Your adventure commences with a pickup from your residence by an English-speaking chauffeur in a luxurious Mercedes vehicle. The drive to Pompeii is roughly 2.5 hours.
Upon arrival, you get to explore the renowned archaeological site with a self-guided 2-hour walking tour. Once you’re done exploring, you can choose to savor a mouthwatering lunch (at your own cost) or grab a quick bite near the ruins before you start your journey back to Rome. Please note that while your driver can provide commentary and descriptions of the attractions from within the car, they aren’t permitted by Italian laws and regulations to act as a tour guide outside the vehicle.

- Your driver is not a licensed tour guide. Due to strict Italian laws and regulations in place to protect officially licensed guides, drivers can comment and explain attractions only from inside the vehicle. Drivers cannot elaborate on the attractions when they are outside of the vehicle.

So thankful for our guides! - We are so thankful we booked this. Family of six (three kids and one 78 year old). The car was roomy and comfortable. Our driver, Daniel, was a pleasure. As talkative as we wanted him to be and at the end of the day when everyone was tired he just let us sleep. But so glad to get his knowledge and opinions on our drive up. We had a lovely guide at Pompeii and though we picked a free museum day by accident (think insane crowds) he somehow avoided them all and showed us everything we could want to see. A wonderful trip all around. Easy five stars!

5 STAR EXPERIENCE FOR MY FAMILY - Perfect for family of 5 trip from Rome to Pompeii. Daniele is an excellent diver. Very professional and personable and safe on the roads. We will use this company's service again.

This will would have been a six star review if possible - We had a spectacular day on our trip from Rome to Pompeii. Our driver, Andy was very personable and provided wonderful service on the road to the Naples area. he even made a stop part of the way to the ruins because he said that the service area provided the best espresso between Rome and Naples. Directed us to an authentic Naples pizza for lunch.. arch Erica was most knowledgeable of the ruins and provided over 2 1/2 hours of nonstop archaeological knowledge that made our trip memorable. Book this trip and you will not be sorry.

Five Stars all around - Daniele was our driver and was fantastic. He drove us from Rome and back while helping us find a wonderful place for lunch after our Pompeii tour. Will definitely be using this company again and requesting him for our next visit. Thank you!

An experience to remember in Pompeii and Sorrento - Vincenzo and Carmine provided us with an excellent tour of Pompeii and Sorrento.
They were prompt, courteous, professional, informative and quite enjoyable.
Vincenzo and Carmine were considerate of our time and navigated us through the sites while avoiding the crowds.
We also used Aim Limo Tours to provide transportation from FCO Airport to Rome and from Rome to the Port of Civitavecchia.
Transportation was quite easy to arrange and the drivers were prompt and courteous.
We will definitely use Aim Limo in the future.

An Excellent Experience - The day trip to Pompeii was above and beyond our expectations. Our driver was Alessandro. He was very prompt and professional meeting all of the time schedules for the trip. He provided history and extensive knowledge about the area during the trip and was a pleasure to talk to. On our way back to Rome, Alessandro provided an additional excursion tailored to our interests. The trip was memorable and everyone had an excellent time! We have already recommended the company, and Alessandro, to other travelers headed to Rome!

Day trip from rome - Excellent service from our limo company to Pompeii and we were able to book a local guide in pompeiiWe were a family of 5 persons and our the small van service worked well for us.

Great value for money - a must see attraction! - We stayed in Rome for three nights and wanted to visit Pompeii, but didn't want to spend hours on a coach, etc. This tour was the perfect length of time. We were picked up at our hotel entrance at 7:30am (our driver Ivano was actually early, but we weren't ready). He picked us up in a Mercedes minivan, with air con, leather seats, and a bottle of water and travel neck cushion for us all! He gave us some interesting information about Rome and Pompeii, and kept us entertained with his great sense of humour! We arrived in Pompeii just before 10am, where we had time to grab a coffee, before we were introduced to our guide Margarita. Margarita spoke perfect English and had lots of knowledge of Pompeii and it's history. Our group of six were the only people on the tour - it really is private as stated! Margarita showed us the highlights of the ruins, and gave us the most valuable information that she could in our two hour time slot. We finished up at around 12pm, and Ivano waited in the car nearby so that we could grab some lunch in one of the restaurants at the entrance to the City, before we returned to the car for our journey back to Rome. We arrived back just before half past three. All of the time scales given in the tour description are very accurate, so we were back in time for our train to Florence. Everything about the tour was easy, comfortable and enjoyable. This tour is fantastic value for money, and allows you to experience the highlights of Pompeii, without being out all day. The company that Viator use for the transfer to Pompeii are called Aim Limo Rome. Our tour guide Ivano couldn't have been nicer, or more accommodating. We would recommend his company Aim Limo to anybody!

Very Good Professional Service - We booked Andrea from Aim Limo Tours for a day trip from Rome to Pompeii on 3 January 2018. When booking and leading up to the day, Andrea was very professional in explaining the options available and was prompt answering questions over email and providing a quote. On the morning, Andrea arrived early and was ready to go at 7am as planned. The drive was very comfortable and Andrea was able to explain the highlights of the areas we drove through to get to Pompeii. We arrived at Pompeii shortly after 9:00am and he had organised a local private, English speaking tour guide for our family of 5. The guide moved fairly quickly, but did take the time to explain the important and interesting parts of the ruins in a way the children could understand. Tour went for approximately 2 hours which was just enough for the kids. We then went to a local diner for lunch, the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either and honestly we felt we had enough time to find a much nicer dining experience, this was probably the only part of the day that was a bit disappointing. Andrea then got us back to Rome by 3pm which was fantastic. Aside from the slightly disappointing lunch option, the service Andrea provided was first class and I would highly recommend Aim Limo Tours if you are travelling to Rome.
