Excellent tour - Excellent tour. Engaging, well informed and intelligent guides. Weather and traffic was terrible but the guides coped with it well and made it a great experience despite those things.

Best of Rome Sampler - Marco was a wonderful guide. He was knowledgeable, patient and accommodating. He clearly had a passion for the history of Rome and made it interesting. The golf cart tour was a unique way to get a sampling of Rome when you only have a short amount of time. It would be a great activity to do at the beginning of your trip so you could take the knowledge and plan the rest of your trip. In my opinion it was also well worth the $$. Would highly recommend.

Thanks to Biagio we had a great tour of Rome! - We had the Rome Highlights by Golf Cart tour booked for the day we arrived in Rome. As soon as we landed, we received a message from Turtle Tour Rome that they could start our tour earlier than booked if we wanted, which would have been great except our plane was late arriving and we had to wait forever for the rental car. We were in constant contact with the tour company but were so worried that they would cancel because we weren't at the meeting point on time. Luckily Biagio was still there waiting for us and took us on a great tour of Rome. He asked what we had planned while in Rome so that he wasn't doubling up on something we were going to see. Biagio was very informative, spoke very good English, was able to answer most of our questions, and told us the best places to get a picture at the sites we visited. He even dropped us off near the parking garage so we wouldn't have to walk so far back to the vehicle. Biagio gave us some recommendations for restaurants and gelato but we forgot to grab his notes the next day. I texted him again to ask the name of the gelato place and he responded quickly (after hours I might add). We were so grateful for his kind and attentive service. With this tour, we were able to visit more places in the few days we had in Rome.

Great way to see the highlights of Rome - Our family of 6 took two golf carts with Matteo (Matteo 2!) and Stefano. Both were fabulous guides, delivering so much information and many interesting stories - all with enthusiasm and good humour. Thank you for showing us an overview of Rome.

Turtle Tour Golf cart tour - We came to Rome as part of an extension to our Viking Mediterranean cruise. We knew we only had two days to see as much as we could before boarding our ship. Our host, Biagio, arrived on time to our hotel and he had blankets, umbrellas, and water bottles ready for us to use on our tour. He had mapped out many Rome highlights for us to see, but also allowed us to suggest other sights and stops along the way. The golf cart could easily get around traffic with no issues. Our tour included stops at the Trevi fountain (minus its water), Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, and a quick visit to St. Ignatius Basilica. Along the way, our host pointed out many other photo opportunities. We then saw the magnificent Coliseum, passed by the Roman Forum and many other ancient historical landmarks. We drove to the top of Janiculum Hill to see a panoramic view of Rome and see and hear a canon shot at exactly noon. Our tour ended with a drop off in the fabulous Trastevere district where our guide recommended a delicious restaurant, gelato, and shopping. The golf cart was an amazing way to see some of the main sights in Rome in a just a few hours.

Save your legs and rent a turtle tour - Vito picked us up at our hotel and gave us a brief history of the neighborhood. Since this tour was on the last day of our vacation, we had seen a lot by now. What we hadn't seen was some of the highlights lit up during the evening. We made several stops, and even a few that we had only heard about. Along the way Vito was very impressive with the history and backstories of the locations. I am very glad we choose this tour. Sure beats walking 10 miles a day.

No walking involved - Vito was a superb guide. He took us to sites we weren't able to walk to quickly, like Mouth of Truth or Aventine Keyhole. Truly an amazing way to see highlights during the evening hours.

Unbelievably Great!!! - Unbelievably Great!!!! Gian Marco was the best!!! We took multiple tours while in Europe, and Gian Marco was absolutely the best! He was passionate about Rome and was an unbelievably wealth of knowledge.! We really could not have asked for anything better! They agreed to pick us early and drop us off timely for a train (on a cruise to get back Civitavecchia). If you are Rome and want to see Rome… this is it! !!! He took us to all the sights, protected us from the scammers and gave us an unbelievable amount of history and facts.. Turtle Tours was fantastic!!!

PERFECTION!! - Absolutely AMAZING!!! It was 100 degrees outside and this tour saved us. Since being home, I have recommended this tour to two different people that said the same thing. Our guide took us to all the good spots, got us as close as we could get, and allowed for us to see a whole lot of things in a few hours. Book this one!!
