The magic of Vanessa - It was a real pleasure to be guided through ancient Rome by Vanessa. With her German-French charm and her multilingualism, she carefully led us through the crowds and shone with her knowledge. Above all, the side facts she shared about Roman life put a smile on our faces and always provided space for an open discussion. You could tell from the start that she enjoyed guiding us and that her lively manner made us very friendly. We hope it wasn't the last time we were able to do this tour, because according to her, there is always something new to explore.

Pleasant and educational tour - We ended up having a private tour with Sarah, our guide from Canada (she is half italian). She explained very well the history behind the monuments and historical buildings that we passed by. We really enjoyed the tour.

Tour with Pedro around the Rome - Two hours around the most important ancient and not only with Pedro were a great experience! We have a recap from our classes but we were given the chance to gain some new curiosities. Although the high temperature and noise he did his best for us! What was also really nice Pedro involved us during the walk asking some questions. It was great way of keeping us interested. That kind of tour was convenient for us and time was precious. We can totally recommend!!!

Very nice guide Pedro - Guide was waiting for us in the meeting point. He was knowledgable, chose interesting facts, showed us interesting places. He answered all of our questions and was joking with us a lot. We had a really good time the entire tour. It was a good experience. We were only in the two of us and the guide but still he was professional and led us mentioning many facts. He cared about standing in the shade which was nice (the sun was buuurning). Thank you Pedro!

I learned so much! - The tour guide exceeded my expectations! Matteo was very knowledgeable, spoke perfect English, and even converted measurements, etc to US units for the Americans. He had dozens of unique facts that I never would have learned otherwise. He was able to answer every question, and he was extremely enthusiastic and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

Ok - but better walking tours available - Maybe we just caught the guide on a bad day, but having done around 30/40 free walking tours all over Europe this one wasn't great. Not only was it not actually free as it costs 3Euro just to register your place, but it felt rushed like the guide couldn't wait to finish her piece and move to the next spot. And even when we did ask a few questions they could have been answered better.

Tour guide didn't show up!! - I had booked the city tour 14 days in advance and the reservation fee was debited directly. Unfortunately, I waited for the tour guide for about 30 minutes in vain, as the tour was apparently not worth it due to a lack of participants. A French-speaking tour guide from the same organization was on site because he had another group and, after consulting Free Tour Rome, informed me of my cancellation. I have not heard anything from the organization yet and have not received my reservation confirmation back.
