• Palazzo Patrizi Montoro - Situated in the S. Eustachio district, this palace stands where a modest house once existed, purchased in 1596 by Giovanni Francesco Aldobrandini.

In 1611, Donna Olimpia Aldobrandini had the building modified, creating the current façade, possibly based on an initial design by Giacomo della Porta, later executed by Carlo Maderno.

In 1642, the palace was acquired by the Marchesi Patrizi, of Sienese origin, who were connected to many Roman families, including the Marchesi Montoro in 1736 and the Marchesi Naro, custodians of the renowned Banner of the Holy Roman Church, bestowed by Pope Urban VIII in 1603.

The art collection was largely assembled thanks to the passion and patronage of two papal treasurers: Costanzo Patrizi (1589–1624) and Giovanni Battista Patrizi (1658–1727), who commissioned the construction of the family villa.
