The itinerary includes some of the most uncommon and mysterious sites of the Eternal City. Panoramic open bus bring you from the city center to the Rome underground venue of the catacombs. This extensive network of tunnels snaking underground was once both a burial ground and a place of worship for the first Christians in Rome. With an expert guide you’ll explore and hear the fascinating history of these sacred places.
- Catacombs tour is not recommended for travelers who may get claustrophobic due to the small spaces.
- The tour is not accessible for visitors on wheelchairs or with severe motor disabilities.
- Dress code is required: shoulders and knees has to be covered.

Rome catacomb tour - Polite and funny tour:)
Alessandro is a nice, polite and funny guy. Additionally the catacomb tour he shown along the way a lot of interesting things about Rome.

A great experience in the catacombs with very friendly and prepared staff - Our driver Alessandro was much more than a driver, he was very passionate Roman who showed us many interesting sights that aren't the usual ones. He was very prepared and funny :)
The tourguide in the catacombs also was very prepared and informative. He showed us many of the gravesides and did a great tour.
If you get Alessandro as your driver, you will see so much more than you might expect and he will entertain you in many many ways!

Alessandro brings the Catacombs trip to life ❤️🏛️ - Alessandro is the Emperor of tour guiding, what a great guy.
Drives and explains the sights with his own guide book. He’s passionate about his City and his passion won’t leave you disappointed.
He gets to traffic lights then has you in hysterics with his music list and sing sheets in the guide books.
30 people all singing along together is a great easy and relaxed way to see Rome.
The catacombs were very interesting too but Alessandro brought the trip to life. knowledge.
The best 2 hours Rome can offer.

Very interesting but frustrating transportation issue. - It was a really fascinating tour and we enjoyed it very much. I wish the tour guide had spoken a little less quickly. We definitely missed a few words. The one very frustrating thing was that the bus driver did not give any instructions for meeting back at the bus. The tour was listed as being a total of 2 hours and we had plans following that we were unable to make because we sat on the bus for half an hour before all the participants returned to the bus. The driver made several trips to the tour site trying to find people, coming back with a few each time. Very frustrating. Simple fix - just tell people to return to the bus immediately following the conclusion of the tour!

Basically a tourist trap - This tour is a tourist trap. If you want to see the catacombs just come there - by yourself - the guided tour is anyway only by the catacombs guide, it costs 9 Eur and is every hour in all the languages mentioned. What you pay here is queues at a tourist office and then having a 20 min walk with an unfriendly lady to the minibus parking to take you to the catacombs. Then 15 min drive to the catacombs where you are handed over to the catacombs staff. And then back.
