This extensive network of tunnels snaking underground was once both a burial ground and a place of worship for the first Christians in Rome. With an expert guide you’ll explore and hear the fascinating history of these sacred places.

Alessandro is the man! - Alessandro, the bus driver for the was great and made this tour fun and interactive, he seems to love his job and we loved what would be a boring bus drive

Good visit but even better transfer - The visit itself is interesting and worth doing, it’s not too long and felt like something different after visiting the main attractions. Alessandro made this trip even better though, he took us to visit lots of extra monuments, ruins, and points of interest on the way. He has made guides in every language, plays music and is great fun.

Catacomb of Domitilla ☀️ - Exceptional organization, friendly and helpful receptionists, friendly driver prepared who gave a bit of magic and extra fun to the tour!
The catacomb of Domitilla is beautiful and the guide in Italian prepared and kind. Great experience!

Book with another group / not Touristation - The tour is fantastic; the bus driver also fantastic; but the ticket station for Touristation is horrible. Even after buying tickets online, it is a mess. Confusing lines, mixed with tourist that have not bought tickets. Why can’t Touristation have a fast track for people who have already bought tickets online?! Suggestion - take a cab directly to the catacombs and take the same tour for 10 euros.

Avoid unless you have no other way to get there! - Do it on your own. Its ridiculous. We travel all over the world and never felt quite so scammed. They basically provide a driver who chats a little on the way to the catacombs where they buy your 10 euro ticket. You wait for the regular tour, do the tour and go back to the driver who takes you back to Rome. The whole thing is stretched out to 3 hours but should take 1.5.
Details: went at 3:30 to the tour start. Waited for a tour guide to basically walk us to the bus pickup site about 10 min. Waited for the bus. Heard about 5 min about a few building in the area. Took the tourist bus. It’s a 17 min drive but he gave a little tour in the way/dragged it out a bit. Beautiful drive. Got there. He bought our tickets (10euro) and waited for us at the bus. We waited 15 min for the next tour (done by in house tour guides). At 4:30 we went for our tour. It was about 15 min of talking about the catacombs outside. Unfortunately, our tour guide was very hard to understand. We then spent about half an hour in the actual catacombs which were interesting, but in the grandscale of things, In Rome probably not the highest priority. It’s all a little rinky dink. We really wanted to see catacombs, but didn’t do our due diligence on how to do it. Fine by 5:15 and waited around for other tours to get out (staggered) and back by 6:00. This tour cost as much as our three hour tour of the forum and Colosseum where we had an amazing tour guide and were able to fast track past the lines.
I’d recommend that you do this on your own like other people recommende buy a schedule time ticket online for €10, either take the bus for two euros or even a taxi for about €15 each way which takes 20 min tops and call it a day. The grounds around the catacombs were beautiful. You could spend more time wandering around there.
