Yummy! - Chef Furio was a great teacher. My family enjoyed learning how to make noodles, ravioli and tiramisu. He was engaging, informative and provided one on one feedback throughout the lesson. One of my favorite meals during our Italy trip. My kids will cherish this memory.

What a class! - On our first night in Rome, we participated in the Top Class of Fettuccine, Ravioli, and Tiramisu making at Oste Cavour through Viator. Chef Hassan was our friendly and talented chef for the evening. He took volunteers from the class to help with demonstrations for our tiramisu making (make that first to chill). We went on to make our dough for the pasta. Chef Hassan was thorough, explaining each step and helping those who needed a little extra help. It was the best evening and we had a great time.

Great class, but shady restaurant - Chef Hassan was fabulous. The experience included wine, or coffee. When we arrived, a gentleman asked if we were there for the class & if we wanted wine. Later we were presented with a bill for the pricey drinks. I think the restaurant took advantage of the participants.

Too Disorganized - The whole class really did not start well. Two hours before the class was to begin, we received a text that the location had been changed. The text said the new location was close to the original location -- it was not! It was an extra 20 minutes walk away in 101 F weather. When we got there, everyone was waiting outside in the sun. Finally let us in and our names had not been passed to the new location. I had the text, so we were accommodated. However, there were now 16 people -- way too many. The instructor, Tommy, was excellent. He reviewed everyone's work -- spoke great English and had a sense of humor. Following the class, we were sent outside to wait for the food we prepared to be cooked and served. You were provided water and a small glass of wine that was pretty marginal. If you wanted more, you had to pay extra. The seating area was outside -- again, the 101 F weather - but it was at least under cover. In sum, the instructor (Tommy) was great -- the rest, not so much. Would not take the class again.

Adults avoid at all cost - I ignored the poor reviews I read under but DO NOT IGNORE THEM. They are spot on. They don’t give you YOUR pasta back, they mix everyone’s and it’s “optional” to wash your hands in the beginning. There were kids in my group, adults touching their faces, phones, etc. the portion the feed you is tiny, my husband got 4 raviolis when he made 6. They pour you half an inch of cheap wine. It’s not worth it at ALL, if you told me you made gourmet pasta for this price then okay. But this is more for children under 10 not adults.

Stay away - Call before start time restaurant has to sit down and wait for the chef when it was time to check everybody in they did not have our reservation said that we never booked anything. Show them the tickets. They were text messaging and calling people trying to figure out about our reservation, took everybody else that was waiting there with confirmed tickets. The class started without us. The manager of the restaurant asked us to step out of the restaurant and wait outside until they figure out about our reservation. After approximately one hour, we forced ourselves in and spoke to a few other people there where we were finally allowed to join the class, keep in mind we have four kids we missed over half of the teaching. They did not have tables set up for us with ingredients or anything. They tried to get our table set up so that we could cook the pasta. I did reach out to viator about this issue, but they were unable to help me telling me that I was not going to get any sort of refund. I escalated this three times with no success. I don’t think Viator should be allowing for selling tickets from vendor partners that are not vetted. I would not sign up for this cooking class.
