Ascend the Aventine hill, amble through the Orange Trees Garden offering a stunning panoramic view, proceed to the Knights Templars of Malta Square, and take a peek through the Key Hole. Visit the Circus Maximus, Coliseum, Imperial Road and Campidoglio, and then trek up the Capitoline hill.
The tour is estimated to last 2 hours.
- Children under 16 are not allowed on this tour and up to 18th year must be with an adult.
- Not recommended for pregnant women and forbidden if in the 4th month or more.
- Riders must have the ability to make motions like leaning, climbing and descending stairs or steps without assistance, have good flexibility in their knees and ankles and must have complete use of their left and right hands and arms. The segway and the ninebot or other brands of personal transporters are not appropriate for those weighing under 100 pounds 45 kg, or over 210 pounds 98 kg . It can be ridden by people from 16 to approx. 68 years old. It is not suggested for pregnant women and totaly prohibited after the 4th month of pregnancy. Tour do not run if it rains. In case of last minute rain the tour leader can decide to stop and the tour will be either postponed or refunded.

Absolutely recommended!! - We opted for a Segway tour, and the experience was beyond expectations! The very kind Maya helped and followed us in booking and preparation and Mario was a perfect guide from every point of view. In just a few minutes he managed to give us all the information necessary to maneuver and manage the Segway (we had never driven one) and he did so by giving us a lot of trust and very carefully explaining the safety measures on the road. For the itinerary we relied on his experience: we were guided through the ghetto to the wonders of the Aventine hill. We knew Rome well, however Mario amazed us with views we had never seen and information from a true connoisseur of the capital. It was an experience absolutely recommended!

Absolutely must-do activity, especially if a short stay in Rome - A super friendly experience combining relaxation, walks, history, all accompanied by Mario who knows how to present his beautiful city beautifully, and adapts very well to our expectations.
Special mention for the special coffee break ☕🙌🏽
We had done an ebike outing with him two days before, and the segway is also recommended with our eyes closed 😉
Thanks to this combo of activities we were able to do almost ALL of the city's main attractions in 3 days, and that was great 🤩

Best way to see Rome! - Probably the best way to get around Rome! I took my teenage daughter on a the Ancient Rome Segway tour and we can thoroughly recommend it! Mario, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgable, patient and lots of fun! I was a little worried about venturing out but Mario went at a steady pace and gave us clear instructions when we were following him. I did not book a private tour but there was only my daughter and myself on it so I guess we got a bargain! It was as a midweek 10am slot. I must also mention the lady and young man at the office where we went to start the tour. They were super helpful and friendly. I’d use these guys again. Booked through Viator. An unforgettable trip and possibly the highlight of my trip to Rome. You’ll see a lot!

Excellent to do at the start of your stay - We spent 2 exceptional hours on Segway with Mario our guide. Mario is a real bible of Rome: he knows everything and gives a lot of details and anecdotes. It's really nice to find a quality guide. At our request, we toured the fountains, namely Trevi, the Trinity of the Hills, Navona Square with its fountains. We also had a "special coffee" with Mario at Teichner's: an excellent discovery! We actually went back!
I 200% recommend this Segway tour with Mario, especially to start your stay!

Great way to see Rome! - This was a fantastic tour! Our guide, Mario, was a patient and cautious instructor to get us comfortable with the Segway. We rode through quaint streets and neighborhoods where Mario told lots of historic facts and stories. I highly recommend this tour and I can’t wait to return for a Vespa and bicycle experience.
