Highlights

St. Angelo Bridge - Ponte Sant’Angelo, also known as pons Aelius (Helios Bridge), pons Hadriani (Hadrian’s Bridge) or Castello Bridge, is a bridge that connects Piazza di Ponte S. Angelo to the Vatican Lungotevere, in Rome, in the Ponte and Borgo districts . It was built in Rome in 134 by the emperor Hadrian, designed by a certain Demetrianus, to connect his mausoleum to the left bank. It was built in peperino and covered in travertine and had three arches, which were accessed via ramps from the shore. The ramps were in turn supported by three smaller arches on the left bank and two on the right bank, towards Hadrian’s mausoleum, which were destroyed in 1893 during the construction of the river banks and replaced by modern arches. The street level had high sidewalks on the sides equipped with travertine balustrades.

Crazy unique and intimate - So here is the full scoop in English, for our fellow American travelers because we know what Americans expect. I want to start by saying this was a crazy unique experience. Well worth the money,(and I dont take that lightly) very informative, and an incredibly intimate ambiance with maybe 6 tables underground in a cellar, quite honestly. This small adventure is not about the "amount of food", or "quality of the dinner" that you get for the money....so dont plan it with this expectation. This is more for a connoisseur of food pairings who will appreciate her efforts as she personally explains the intricacies for each of many pairings of wine/cheese/breads/and chocolate eery few minutes while you dine. It's very romantic, not easy to find (use Google with the address). And the single biggest advice we can give is to NOT pair this trip with the river boat ride to reach. That was confusing as hell. The boat was gross and the crew had no knowledge of our pre-paid trip for the dining experience... like they were completely unrelated. The boat ride does NOT match at all the finer cuisine you are destined for. Just use a cab or walk it if you are near the Tiber. Skip the boat. The entrepreneur gal who opened this location below a local hostel did a great job and we wish her the best success.

Fabulous Cruise & Wine! - Had an amazing time! Started with a simple river cruise down the Tiber. There was a little confusion with the boat staff that got cleared up quickly. The views were incredible, and the breeze was so nice for such a hot day. This was followed by our wine and food pairing experience at Fabullus Wine Cellar. Our host was excellent. I can’t remember her name, but she made the experience so fun and interesting. And we learned to like things that we previously had refused to eat! We went home with a couple small items that we particularly enjoyed. Will definitely recommend to any friends who visit the city!

Worth trying if you are in Trastevere - A very nice and evocative place, the girl who followed us could see that she loves her job, very competent in explaining the wines and selective in choosing them for her restaurant, sociable and made you feel at ease, I highly recommend

He - We took the boat tour of the Tiber and later did the tasting. If you make this plan, don't have expectations from the boat, you don't really know much and the comments aren't good either. The boat is a good taxi, but nothing more. However, we rate this experience 5 stars because the wine tasting was magnificent. Ginebra, our host, was very friendly and passionate, she made us feel at home. We tried a wide variety of wines, cheeses, appetizers and jams, exquisitely prepared and selected. Ginebra made the experience very special, she took her time to explain and let us try each of the things. Thanks Geneva. If you are in Rome don't miss this incredible experience ❤️

Enjoying Italian wine - The wine tasting was a memorable experience. The hostess is very sweet and welcoming, she makes sure you enjoy the experience. I not only learned about Italian wines but discovered their taste, aroma and texture. The ride in the cruise is not so good, the boats are old and not much to see.

Poor communication - Received two different reminders from two different sources to be at two different places for 1pm. Very confusing! We had to call them to find out where we really needed to be.

Great food and wine experience. Skip boat - The wine and food pairing at Fabbulus Wine Cellar was amazing. The host was wonderful. Wine and food was great too. I would go back to there in a second. The boat ride was not quite as I expected. Very short. Most disappointing was the conflicting messages. The Viator reservation indicated to board boat at 5pm. The last boat was at 6pm. The agency that they worked with for wine experience sent a reservation at 5pm and called to tell us we were late and we're going to miss the wine and food experience. We worked it out. But a bit frustrating. I have always had a great experience with Viator trips. In this case, book directly with the wine cellar. She was amazing!!

Worst Experience - "I booked a cruise package that included wine tasting, and I arrived 30 minutes early with my wife and two children. Unfortunately, no one was there. I tried to chat with the host, but there was no response. When I called, the host informed me that the cruise was not available and I could only participate in the wine tasting. This was extremely frustrating, especially since it was our anniversary and I wanted to surprise my wife. Despite trying to remain calm, I was very disappointed. The wine tasting was good, but I was charged $350 for what was supposed to be a full cruise package, which seems unfair. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. Even after contacting customer support, no one could provide a resolution. This feels like a scam to me."
