Fascinating!! - Being on the floor three levels below ground and learning all the history of how buildings were built on top of each other. The preservation of such old historical buildings was unbelievable. The tour was extremely interesting and mind blowing. I highly recommend others take this tour - it was unbelievably interesting and full of information!

Highly recommended - I highly recommend this tour. Gina, our guide, was knowledgable and was eager to answer any questions we had. The basilica itself is very impressive but it was the lower Roman-era level that blew me away. If you have any interest whatsoever in Roman history then this is the tour for you. Note that the Manzoni metro stop is also convenient to this location.

Inspiring! - Priscilla--our tour guide--is a treasure! Informative, personable, professional! This Basilica is a hidden gem...we felt it would be interesting and left rather awestruck...of all our sightseeing tours we felt that this was the best- and our guide was a big reason why! If you're in Rome, don't miss this one!

Enjoyable tour! - This tour is fabulous for the history buff! Gaga was an amazing tour guide and provided such wonderful analysis of the art in the church, gave such a complete history of the site and the different layers. Quite an interesting history of Christianity, St Clemente, St Cyril, and the current church. The architecture isn’t necessarily “beautiful” but it’s part of the story. The ceiling above the front alter is stunning.
