Easy process - Great experience, easy pick up of the tickets and the guide explained everything we needed to know. It’s very busy this time of year and the skip the line tickets are invaluable.

Gets you in the door - Really buying these basically just gets your tickets and access into the colosseum through a smaller section. The app is provided by the colosseum for anyone. So if you’re trying to save some money and don’t mind waiting in line I would just secure a ticket for myself and use the colosseum app. But if you want to go though the group entrance it’s worth it.

Not what we expected. - Very difficult to find the right zone for the audio to play with the crowds of people. We never did find three of them. If I were to do it again, I’d opt for the guided tour.

You skip the line for the tickets. That’s it - The App is pits. The only benefit is that someone is waiting for you with the tickets. So you don’t really get a guided tour as the App cant track your location well and if you reboot it, it wants you to go to the start point. Basically it didn’t work for us.

Not worth the mark-up if all you want is to skip the queue - We bought this trip mainly to save having to navigate what we thought would be long queues for the official tickets sold through the colosseum website, but it turns out there was no real difference in the queue (since we had to get the real tickets through the local guide, which implied a somewhat messy queue as well) but the tickets bought through Viator are much more expensive.

Wouldn’t purchase again - There was no “skipping the line” they handed us the tickets and we had to get in line with everyone else and wait.

Inefficient ticketing.. a joke - The line to get tickets is a mess. The flag mentioned in the email does not match what the staff had. The staff did not create a line so there was a mass of people hovering. All of their data was on paper, including the tickets themselves. One person checked of the name then we had to get into second line to get the actual ticket in the blazing sun. The staff stood in the blazing sun when they could have moved the line to the shade. The staff were not from Viator so there was no name identification to help find them. The staff gave a QR code for a website that did not have an audio guide. I asked for audio guide.

Bad. - The person distributing the tickets assured us the audio would work in the Colosseum. It didn’t, so there was no self guided tour.
