Amalfi Coast - After Pompeii, it’s back onto the minibus for one of the most unforgettable drives of your life down the hairpin turns and panoramic vistas of the Amalfi coast. It won’t take long for you to see why this is considered Italy’s most scenic drive (although certainly not the easiest to navigate—you’ll be glad you have a professional driver!).
Positano - Following in the footsteps of literary greats like Shelley, Goethe and Steinbeck, you’ll be free to explore this little town on foot, sampling its incredible seafood, browsing the fashionable boutiques, or ordering bespoke, handmade sandals.
Rome - After a full day of exploring two of southern Italy’s greatest gems, you’ll head back onto the bus for a comfortable journey back to Rome.

Embark on a comprehensive day trip from Rome that includes visitation to two UNESCO heritage sites — the historic ruins of Pompeii and the pristine Amalfi Coast. Start the tour by stepping back in time and witnessing the grand remnants of Pompeii, a significant city from the days of ancient Rome. Following this, enjoy the splendid views of the Amalfi Coast and take an optional lunch break (not included in the tour price) in the quaint town of Positano. This exclusive small-size group tour is capped at 18 attendees for a more personalized and enriching experience.

If you are traveling with a young child and need a car seat, please contact our Guest Experience department prior to your tour.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate guests with mobility impairments, wheelchairs or strollers on this tour.
The town you visit will depend on the season and weather - Positano, Amalfi (town), or Sorrento.
We encourage a swim on the beach in Positano during your free time should the weather be nice. If you are so inclined, please bring a bathing suit and towel.
Should any part of this tour be closed, we may need to make modifications to the itinerary.
During low season (November - March) most businesses including restaurants in Positano close, making the town a rather dull visit. During this time, we visit the town of Amalfi or Sorrento where ample choices for lunch and shopping abound.

Please meet in front of the McDonald's Restaurant. Your guide will be holding a green Walks sign. Piazzale Flaminio is a centrally located square (just outside the arches of Piazza del Popolo). The closest Metro stop is Flaminio - Piazza del Popolo on the Metro Line A.

Nice, but long day - Fun Tour. It was a little too long as we ran into traffic. Loved Pompei. I thought LemonVille, AKA Positano was very touristy and overpriced. It’s a beautiful village and would be really nice at night when all the crowds left. Our guide was friendly.

Absolutely wonderful trip! - The entire trip was amazing!!! Pompeii was much larger and very interesting. The Amalfi Coast is breathtaking and Positano was awesome! Our driver stopped in one of the cities that had a wonderful view and allowed us time to get out and take pictures.

Heaven on earth! - An absolutely well balanced day. Early start but worth it. A scenic drive to Positano which is beautiful and a great place to have lunch. Lots of free time. A short drive to one of the most interesting archaeological sites I’ve ever seen. Great guide, safe driver and good pickup drop off locations.

Fantastic bus tour to Pompeii, Amalfi Coast and Positano - Enrica ( our guide) and Luciano ( our driver) did such a good job despite rainy weather and traffic. They switched the order of the trip so that we went to Positano ( cloudy and rainy) for shopping and lunch first and then to Pompeii. When we got to Pompeii the weather had cleared and the crowds had thinned. It was most enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour!

Amazing Pompeii. - Guide was very informative about the landmarks. Amalfi coast is beautiful with brwath taking coast line with blue water. Pompeii history was eye opening. Guide Sonia knew all about Pompeii and she answered all the questions with great patience.

Day Trip - It was a long day but John made it bearable with the pace and breaks. Expert knowledge was shared throughout the day and we always knew what to expect. Our guide at Pompeii was amazing as well as our driver.

Good value for money - The whole tour was excellent Francesca our tour guide was very knowledgable The meeting point was easy to find and we left early , so we missed rush hour traffic Could probably of done with a little more time in Positano , as 2 hrs isn't really enough time to see it all , but overall and excellent tour Would highly recommend

Great day!! - We really enjoyed our trip to Pompeii and Positano. Our guide in Pompeii was amazing and our excursion guide Andy was wonderful. Prepare yourself for a long day and lots of drive time but if you want a day trip out of Rome to Positano and Pompeii, this is the way to go!!

Enjoyable trip out of buzzing Rome - Our guide was Ms Enrica. She is funny, cheerful and helpful. We have asked her to recommend the restaurant in Positano and it was a good recommendation. She gave us Three sisters, Chef Black and the other Italy name which I can't pronounced or spell. We went with the Three sisters and had a good meal and view. Time was a bit short due to the traffic we faced that day and it was rainy too. (Do note the journey in and out of Rome each way about 3 hours each.) Then we had to Pompeii, the tour was good and the Pompeii guide was very detailed in her explanation of the life back then in Pompeii. But we did not get to see the bodies that was preserved. So this was a minus for me. Other than that it was an enjoyable trip out of the Rome city. We had a very skillful driver, we were all safely reached out destination and back to Rome.
