Liidia was the best tour guide ever. - I must say that this was the most interesting tour I've ever had, and I have had plenty. But it was so, thanks to our tour guide Lidiia. She was everything I could wish in a tour guide: she was kind, engaging and extremely knowleadgeable of the place, the history, the data, fun facts, all in a very respectful way, considering that we visited a religious site with a group of people from different backgrounds. She kept us all interested, including my 2 hard to please teenagers and my husband (who doesn't care much for museums or religious sites). I had been to the Basilica before, but this time I really appreciated it. This was the highlight of my trip. I highly recommend the tour with Lidiia. You just need to read well the meeting instructions, because it is not in front of the Basilica, but at a restaurant nearby. Plan to be there ahead of time.
