Highly recommend. - Loved this tour. It gives an entirely different perspective of St Peter’s Cathedral. Loved being on the roof near the Saints statues

Skip the security line, go up into the dome (cupola) less stress and more to see - This was a great option to see St Peter’s Basilica. I purchased this tour after I tried going to see the Basilica on my own and did not get in because the line was hours long. This tour works because: 1- it starts early while the place is still quiet and beautiful. The square is empty and you can get great photos. 2- You skip the security line and are ushered to a side entrance away from the rest of the crowd which is much less chaotic. 3- It’s guided ofcourse so you’re not getting lost and you learn and understand more of what you’re looking at. 4- The dome climb is in 2 parts- - Part One is the inner dome which we all reached by elevator- easy access, stunning views from inside. -Part Two is optional (the 220+ steps to the 2nd level of the dome where you can lookout from the top). The group was given 40 minutes for the climb in part two. I opted out of this portion because I read reviews saying the steps get tight and narrow toward the top and I’m claustrophobic- no thanks. While on the rooftop you can walk around and take in the view, pickup a souvenir at the gift shop, get a snack at the little cafe, it’s really nice. When the group returned from the dome climb we went into the Basilica and although it was crowded our tour guide, Monica made sure we stayed together and didn’t lose anyone. Monica gave great information, told interesting stories, and organized the group well. This is a Jubilee year and there are many people doing a pilgrimage walk to go through the Holy Doors- pretty cool to see.

Great tour - The tour started on time and the tour guide was very informative. His english was good and he paced the tour very well. Unfortunately we were separated from our group and we were unable to find them. Overall it was a good tour.

Beautiful but that was a LOT of stairs! - The Vatican was amazing. St. Peter’s Basilica is truly a marvel, GO EARLY! It gets absolutely mobbed! This tour was great, I am so upset I cannot remember my guides name because he was so good! Very kind and knowledgeable. My one thing is if you are going to the top of the dome that stair climb is BRUTAL. Do not do that if you have any heart condition.

A Must Do Tour of The Vatican and Dome. - Best recommendation is to take an early tour! We had a wonderful tour guide who met us at 7:45 am: NO crowds or large groups. Things were setting up for the day outside. Such an amazing up close and exceptional view and descriptions of the history. Dome Climb… elevator appreciated! We could not have done this without a tour. By the end of our tour, it was SO crowded, before 11;00 am!! Would never go in the afternoon when it is hot and crowded. Would recommend this tour highly and we enjoyed every minute. Still in great awe of the significance and exquisite workmanship of this historic and religious treasure.

Bonkers !! - We found the starting point , no one to greet us or get any information, no coffee or pastry’s offered We were finally shoved into a group of about 40 The guide ran off so quickly, we were down to about 30 people , when we checked into the Vatican security, Next stop we made it to the top of the dome , very impressive and worth it , some took lift some walked up , lost a few more people lol , now down to 20 people, we ended the trip with 8 others We found it very funny , but not suitable if you cant run , it was absolutely chaotic No welcome/ no check in / no sign or welcome , just a few people standing outside a cafe , bonkers !!

Waste of time and money - Advertised free coffee and pastry but we had to pay for the pastry. My husband needed a scooter so we were told to wait by the exit. The tour guide never came back. Without our tour we were not permitted to enter the right entrance of the Vatican or see the Pieta. We saw members of the tour leaving so we gave up and left. What a waste of time and money.

Booked day before to find it was already cancelled - Booked the day before for an early morning visit. Up early, paid for a taxi and arrived early. Guide showed up to say it was cancelled because of an event at the Vatican and a cancellation was sent the day before. None ever sent. With 4 groups that had the exact same situation.

I felt conned... - They promise you things they're not. Breakfast is only half a glass of coffee, you don't get pastry. If you don’t understand English, you’re brought in as if you’ve paid less than the others. They take you walking 100 meters to the entrance to the elevator of the dome and later. You don't see the guide there anymore. Don’t fan headphones or explain the use of the audio guide, which is an app to download and consummate all the data. They don’t explain anything to you, they don’t even warn that from that moment on you have to move freely until you decide to seek the exit from the basilica. It’s cheaper to buy tickets individually and a coffee in a bar and you save yourself a good deal of money. A real scam.
