great foodie morning out - I think if you not from Italy or used to the food you can get there one can often walk past many items without knowing what you have just missed out on. Simone spent the morning with us showing as around his old hood and sharing stories of his family/childhood and then relating them back to the eateries/markets etc that we visited. Turn up with empty stomachs and if you doing it in summer time make sure you book early AM or later afternoon - it's too hot to do this experience from midday to say 4pm. Great choice and guide thanks Simone!

Fantastic Tastings, center tour with Thomas - Thomas was incredibly engaging, flexible and fun. So much information, fantastic food. When he learned we liked art, he Included sites in the center, as well. He really brought Rome alive for our team, as well. The food was fantastic. We struck gold!

Culinary Intro to Rome - We were hungry when arriving to Rome and this tour with Simone exceeded expectations. He provided a well balanced nuance of history with local favorite foods. We loved the zuppli and roman pizza options, followed by skewers and the best gelato. Grazie!

Food Tour with Nico - Booking a food tour with Nico was hands down the best experience we had in Rome! For anyone eager to dive into Italian culinary delights while soaking up some local culture and history, Nico's tour is a must-do. His passion for food and his city shines through, making the tour not only informative but incredibly enjoyable. Nico introduced us to hidden gems where the locals eat, places that even on my third visit to Rome were completely new to me. The foods we tried were extraordinary, and Nico's knowledge of their origins and preparation added so much to the experience. His fluency in English is impeccable/ Spending a few hours with Nico was an absolute pleasure. His polite and knowledgeable demeanor made us feel like we were exploring Rome with a friend. We're already looking forward to booking another tour with him on our next trip. And a little insider tip—ask Nico to show you where to find his favorite Maritozzo. It's life-changing! Amazing Tour in Bari with Simone - Simone was amazing! I had time to explore Bari on my own and decided to book this tour with Simone last minute, and I'm glad I did! There was more to Bari that I would not have experienced on my own. I highly recommend this tour with Simone if ever travelling to Bari.

host no-showed without prior warning! - I booked a "10 testings of Rome" directly with Withlocals with host Roberto. I received confirmation of booking and was charged. I received no other confirmation. On the evening of the tasting tour, our host did not show up to the designated meeting spot. I texted and called him on without response. I received a cancellation email notifying me of cancellation only after the I had attempted to contact him and after our agreed upon meeting time. There was no time to rebook another tour, so an evening in Rome on a limited vacation was not spent as we intended and scrambled to find dinner. Also Withlocals does not provide a means to rate hosts who cancel regardless of how late and only with those that complete a tour. I would recommend booking with another site that may have more accountability for cancellations. Hope this helps others
