- Please note that the Vatican Museums provide free entrance for visitors who are (according to the requirements stated by the Vatican City) at least 74% disabled by presenting the appropriate certification and, if one needs assistance by another person, that person also receives a free entrance. Please inform us when you are booking if you fit into these requirements and we will remove the pricing of the entry tickets from the price of the tour.
- As this is a walking tour with steps and staircases, comfortable walking shoes and a bottle of water are strongly recommended.
- Please advise during the booking process if there are any travelers with mobility concerns so that we can best accommodate you.
- At the end of your tour, you are required to return the headset provided to you to your guide. In the event that you do not return the headset, you will be subject to a fine of €100 for lost property.
- Each traveler must present a valid passport or government issued photo ID that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Vatican Museums.

Breathtaking Journey of History - Phenomenal experience led by a guide Gui whose passion and depth of knowledge made for an extraordinary historical journey, chronicled in a perfect manner. I would booked another private tour in a second!

Alberto is THE TRUE MASTER of the Vatican CITY!! - Our Vatican VIP Experience with ALBERTO was, in a word AMAZING. Alberto's knowledge of art and history, his passion for his Faith and his home City and his vast experience as a professor and guide was evident from the first moment. His insights into the time period, the artists, the painting styles, the political temperament of the Popes and the times and his overall passion for the subject matter made our 5+ hours with him absolutely fly by! If I could give 10 stars out of 5 it wouldn't be enough. He was informative, funny, insightful, charismatic and above all, genuinely kind. We ALL loved him, learned so much from him and truly appreciate the treasure he is to anyone lucky enough to have him as a guide, teacher and tutor. Thank you, Alberto!! You were MAGNIFICO!! Grazie mille!

Exceptional depth of knowledge from tour guide - Exceptional guide. Unbelievable depth of knowledge and kept it interesting and relevant. He also helped make the experience feel efficient and smooth — even in the midst of a massive number of people and the chaos that can bring! We loved how he handled the Sistine Chapel — spoke about it before we went in, then let us experience it mostly on our own. We also enjoyed his stories of the politics around the papacy.

The Sistine Chapel. We... - The Sistine Chapel. We were disappointed about the Pieta being closed. My only complaint would be the fact that Viator did not make us aware of what was close.

Vatican Private Tour - It was very crowded, and my partner & I still had to follow the crowds on this private VIP tour. Having a guide, helped us by providing important information along the way, and a quicker access to St. Peter's Basilica.

Not worth the price - While we appreciated the guide's enthusiasm and kindness toward our family, we were not impressed overall. Many visitors are now making their way to the Sistine Chapel first to avoid the crowds, but Through Eternity Tours was not willing to honor that request. Instead, we wasted 30 minutes outside listening to partially erroneous information (Michelangelo did not pack the Sistine on his back..) and the tour ended 20 minutes early. Our objective was to enjoy as much of the museums as possible, including the often missed Pinacoteca, but there was no reason for 50 minutes of our five hour tour to be wasted.

Major screw up robbed us of our chance to see the Vatican - We booked this tour less than a week in advance because, incredibly, our first private tour operator cancelled on us last-minute. To make it happen we had to schedule for our last day in Rome. To be sure this would go forward, we called and emailed and even were required to pay extra to book the tour, in violation of Viator policies. We paid because it was so important to see the Vatican on our honeymoon and we received multiple confirmations and assurances. Well, morning of the tour, they bring us all the way down to the Vatican entrance to tell us they don’t have entrance tickets for us. This was the most ridiculous hang up I have ever seen and we wasted our last morning in Rome waiting around for them to somehow not be able to scrounge up entrance tickets for our $1,600 private tour. Unbelievably bad experience that put a damper on our honeymoon.
