Vatican Museum Tour with a scooter! - I would love to give a five star review but there were a few hiccups, mainly because of miscommunication. We arrived for the tour with my grandma who needed a mobility scooter to get around, and were informed we would not be able to do the tour because it would be difficult to keep up with the guide. I mistakenly thought I specified with the tour company ahead of time that she would need a scooter, and they said if I had we could have arranged a private tour guide that would have made things easier. Despite the mix up, the tour company were apologetic and kind, and made special arrangements to get us to the Vatican and into the wheelchair accessible parts of the museum. They also gave us a partial refund for 2 out of 3 people, which was very much appreciated. We did not get a guide for the tour when we did enter and had to pay for audio headsets, and we did not get to see St. Peter’s basilica because we had difficulty navigating the museum on our own with the mobility scooter and wheelchair accessible parts, so it would have been nice to have someone to show us around. I would recommend this company as I think they were honest and accommodating, despite the mix up, and were kind with how they were still able to get us all into the museum. For future reference for anyone looking for mobility access, we learned that most attractions in Rome DO allow mobility scooters and entrance for someone with a mobility scooter or wheelchair is FREE for that person and 1 helper! It can be confusing getting around some of the larger attractions, because some entrances are only handicap accessible and there is just one way out, but Rome is surprisingly much more handicap accessible than I heard it would be.

Would recommend - Very insightful and fully immersive tour. Without the tour, we’d be walking around without a clue of the depth of history and richness of culture around us.

Vatican tour companies over promise.... - Skipping the line is important, but once you get inside the Vatican, they have their own tour guides and the tour companies have no control over whether you get a great guide or a not. Also, know that you will likely have to walk to the Vatican from where you get your tickets (5-10min), as the tour companies selling these tours are not located right next to the Vatican. You can choose the least expensive 'skip the line' tour and have the same random chance of getting a great guide as those who paid nearly 200 euros. The Sistine is free. The Basilica is free. Most of the guides just point the way to those sites when it says "included" and they do not go with you. Everyone has headsets & tour guides narrate. Ours moved through the many Vatican museums, never pausing to see if anyone was stopping to take a picture or falling behind. Our tour was supposed to begin at 3p (so that we would have time to see the Basilica before it closed), and there were just 6 of us. It said that there would be no more than 20 people in the tour, so we were excited to have a small group. However, the guide held off starting our tour until nearly 4pm so that she could bulk up the tour to number 22 people, which unfortunately put us in the position where we were unable to see the Basilica at the end of the tour due to the late start. This left us highly disappointed.

Disappointing at the Vatican… - First, I paid $102 for a ticket through Viator that that cost €44. The actual ticket was handed out at the Vatican when I checked in. The only benefit I received from Viator was that I did not have to wait in a line to buy a ticket. Other than that, I’m not sure what Viator added it to my experience. Secondly, we had an English speaking guide as promised. However, her Italian accent was so thick and the surrounding voices so loud, it was very difficult to understand her. She was very knowledgeable, but I missed 80% of her guided tour.

Disappointed tourist - Excessively crowded. Option to see the Bascilica was unavailable and the line to get into St Peter’s Square was intolerable. Very little value for the money. Feel I deserve a refund since the Bascilica option was unavailable.

Lousy attention, horrible experience I will never recommend - I do not recommend it at all, hire a tour with guide and upon arrival, we are told that the entrance. does not include guide and give us the basic of 25 euros when we pay 120 for each. We were charged for tickets to the basilica the day it was free!!!! In addition, they refuse to repay the corresponding amount on the grounds that Viator charges them commission, but the commission does take it into account with the ticket that I paid much more dearly not with the one they gave us. In short, I do not recommend this tour at all. We weren't the only ones it happened to.

Bad experience!! - Tour guide did not wait for us even when we were early. We paid euros €360 and still this treatment so you can imagine. They probably scammed us by charging more and double booking the same tickets. Very disappointed with the service and the provider Fahad.

Unprofessional and unreliable - The Tour never happened. The tour guide was unresponsive, unreliable and unprofessional. I was thoroughly disappointed and embarrassed that I had this plan for a large family group booked and I was mislead into thinking it was going to happen. I asked the tour guide several times for confirmation and tickets and at the last moment the guide canceled the tour with no options left for us due to travel constraints.
