Avoid this provider AND go earlier in the day - The compound word I would use to describe this experience is not family friendly, as this tour was purported to be, so bear with me for a lengthier description of the evening... First, there were three different addresses listed. A meeting point. A "redemption" point. And street view of the meeting point (which was nowhere near the meeting point). One of them, a cinema (which is specifically called out as the starting point) had no clue what this tour was and suggested just waiting in the street. The second address housed a tour shop, and they had no clue what was going on with the tour I had bought. I communicated with the operator via whatsapp, and they indicated there was a problem. They tried to send me back to the cinema until I showed them their own address was the meeting point. The person on whatsapp first tried to hand me off to his "colleague" at a different number, then asked where I was when I was also standing at his own counter in the shop. Finally someone comes out the back and says "come with me", and we walk down the street to another tour operator then are told to wait while he leaves. He eventually came back. He walked us to the Vatican museum while on the phone and frantically making eye contact and hand gestures to other tour operators. I told my friend, "I think they are trying to pawn us off to another tour and nobody has room." We finally get put in line. Reading that sentence might make you go back to check.... yes, this was a "skip-the-line" tour. The line was not skipped. We were handed off to wait in line with two spanish speaking tours and told we'd be rejoined with the initial tour guide inside. We never saw him again. After 30 minutes in line (it was a shorter line being the end of the day), we were inside security. We stood around inside security for a while longer and got handed off twice. In case you lost count, we had 5 different tour guides. Fortunately this tour would be given in the language matching the tour we purchased. And quite frankly, the reason we bought this was the "skip-the-line". So our 5:30pm ticket (which we arrived well in advance of) finally got in around 6:15pm. After handing out physical tickets (of course, they did not have enough, so this took even more time to secure more tickets), and going through the process of getting ear pieces, we finally made our way up and into the museums. The final tour guide seemed nice, but we didn't wait around. After several minutes around some posters showing what we would see later (for reals!), we decided to return the ear pieces and just go see the actual art instead of the posters of the art. Tours seem to stop at posters of what is inside the Sistine Chapel and I guess they want you to gawk at the posters instead of the real thing. If posters interest you, just find the art on the internet, as the posters weren't great. Note that the "evening tour" start time is so late that you'll basically briskly walk through the whole museum, missing most of the art, only to finally arrive at the Sistine Chapel and be immediately herded out because it closes pretty soon after this tour. And I do mean herded. There are multiple lines of museum staff barking orders at the crowd pushing the crowds through the museum like you are personally keeping them from dinner. Advice: - Go earlier in the day and don't do this "evening tour" - Do NOT use this provider as they really don't have their act together.

Vatican Mess Not worth the the time or money. Ripped Off. - We were forced to change our tour to later in the day and it never felt like the tour guide had things together and were doing what they could do accommodate the change amongst the chaos of the Vatican lines and tours. Our original tour included access to St. Peter's Basilica but because of the time change that became impossible and we instead spent 2 hours listening to not-always-accurate art history lessons. Once we finally got to the Sistine Chapel, we were told we were done and that was it. I have reached out to tour company and are expecting a refund.
