• Vatican Museums - The Pius Clementine Museum features notable works such as Apoxyomenos, the Octagonal Courtyard, Belvedere Apollo, Laocoon, the Room of the Animals, the Room of Muses, the Belvedere Torso, and the Greek-cross Room. Other highlights include the Pinecone Courtyard, Chiaramonti Gallery, Gallery of the Candelabra, Gallery of the Tapestries, and Gallery of the Maps.
• Sistine Chapel - Named after Pope Sixtus IV della Rovere, who served as pontiff from 1471 to 1484, the Sistine Chapel underwent restoration of the old Cappella Magna between 1477 and 1480. The 15th-century wall decorations feature false drapes, Stories of Moses, Stories of Christ, and portraits of the Popes, initially crafted by artists Pietro Perugino, Sandro Botticelli, Domenico Ghirlandaio, and Cosimo Rosselli. Pier Matteo d’Amelia painted a starry sky on the ceiling. The frescoes were started in 1481 and completed in 1482, along with marble works such as the screen, choir stalls for choristers, and the pontifical coat of arms above the entrance door.

• A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements
• All tour participants must have a valid ID or Passport to enter the Vatican. It will not be possible to access the Vatican Museums without a valid ID.
