Visit to Vatican City 4/22/25 - Our private tour was amazing. Vatican City was very crowded. Denis our private guide was able to navigate through the crowd. Dennis was very knowledgeable and pointed out many interesting facts as we walked through the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. We learned so much and easily navigated through our visit which would have been challenging without our tour guide.

Vatican private tour - Denis was a great guide who knew how to get us around this very busy area. He was very knowledgeable on everything within the Vatican especially since we visited the Vatican the day after the Pope had died. A private tour was definitely worth every dollar we spent.

Awe Inspiring! - Wow! What an amazing tour. Denis met us at a restaurant near the entrance to the Vatican. Once we met up, he took us right in, no standing in line! This was great as it was a misty/rainy day. We didn't have to be outside for long, because we were whisked right into the Museums. What a vast array of sculptures, artwork, and tapestries. Denis talked about what we saw and mainly hit the highlights of the different rooms and artwork of the times. This included the walls and the ceilings as well. One could spend days in these museums and still not learn all there is to know. We appreciated the information and that it was not too lengthy as we had just flown in from the US. On to the Basilica and Sistine Chapel. Denis explained with an ipad picture, what we would see in the Sistine Chapel, as no photographs are allowed, and it would be too packed to have a discussion in the Chapel. Sistine was PACKED with people!! We went in November, so I can only imagine how stuffed it would be in there in the summertime. At any rate, the artwork was completely awesome. In the Basilica, Denis showed us the main sculptures and explained what the intent was for many of the pieces. Again, we learned so much and left with a complete appreciation for the hands that molded, formed, and painted the many beautiful sights. We will definitely recommend Denis to friends and family, as his tour was informative, and he was a complete pleasure as a guide. Thank you so much!

Wonderful Tour - Our family of four was guided through the Vatican by Rachele. She did a wonderful job of leading us through the exhibits and giving us background information to help us understand what we were looking at in the museum, the basilica, and the square. The meeting point was easy to find and it was great being able to skip the line. Our entire family really enjoyed this tour.

Guided, skip the line tour . . . amazing! - Our tour was guided by Silvia De Angelis of Together in Rome and it was one of the best tours we had in Italy! She was so knowledgeable and enthusiatic that I would love to know what other tours she guides. The Vatican City is so big that 3 hours hardly does it justice but Silvia did a wonderful job in showing us all the "must sees" and was able to fit in many other details of the City while we walked along. Thank you Silvia!

So Engaging! - Francesca was not only knowledgeable, but absolutely captivating! I found myself so interested because of her passion for art. She was also wonderful navigating the tough crowds and finding comfortable space to break for her explanations, complete with maps and pictures! 10/10 on our trip to the Vatican! Thank you, Francesca, congratulations on your upcoming wedding and marriage from today’s newlywed couple!

Guided tour to Vatican is a must. - Some places can't be fully enjoyed without a professional tour, and the Vatican is one of those sites. The arrangement was made by our hotel, and at 1:30 pm, we were sitting in the cafe, our meeting place, enjoying a gelatto and a glass of sparkling. I knew that the tour will be a success just looking at this cafe - clean, busy, with friendly stuff. Precisely at 1:45, Patrizia, our tour guide, arrived. It was a small group, and we went through the security very fast, actually, the lines were very long, but our guide navigated us within a minute. Patrizia is very knowledgeable, and is quite experienced: she does not overwhelm you with the facts that you will not remember, yet everything she said (she speaks English very well, which is not always a case with the tour guides, honestly); everything she said we remembered. And she spoke for almost 3? hours :) She also managed to navigate us through the crowds, even in the Sistine Chapel, also giving us enough time to absorb the magnificence of the place. Professionalism, kindness, and experience - we loved it.

Small group tour - I have to believe this is the best way to see the Vatican. Our group of 10 was led past long lines of people waiting to enter. Our guide was professional and organized. We had headsets for the tour which made it easy to hear everything and stay together despite large crowds. The narration by the guide was more detailed than I prefer, but that’s better than not learning anything. This is just an amazing place and I’m glad we experienced it.
