- We are sorry to inform you that this tour is NOT wheelchair accessible. Vatican Museums provide wheelchairs free of charge in the main lobby. You can easily pick one up after you enter, before starting your own independent visit. If you are looking for a guided tour with wheelchair access, we recommend booking our private tours so a guide can lead you through the alternate routes
- All students should have their student identity card in order to get the discount for the admission fee.
- Pets are NOT allowed
- St. Peter’s Basilica is closed during the following times: Wednesdays: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, December 24 and 31 During these times, the tour will visit other parts of the museums
- St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel close without notice on rare occasions; if this happens, your guide will take you to tour the Vatican Museums and/or the Sistine Chapel/St Peter’s Basilica/Raphael Rooms instead

The Best - Our tour guide Patricia was fabulous! She was very informative and made sure we saw and heard all the important details... If going in summer like we did bring water, portable fan and hat. It was HOT and Patricia tried to get us to shade as much as possible.

Incredible Vatican - Incredible experience made by our guide Nunzia….she was passionate, knowledgeable, friendly & fun. Nunzia was clear in her communication as there are many things you need to be aware of & observe…she always made sure the group was together. Her explanation of everything we’d see in the Sistine chapel was so helpful once inside gazing at the masterpiece. When our tour concluded we tipped Nunzia as she rightfully deserved, but I was disappointed that no one else did. Highly recommend this tour - none of it would make sense without the in-depth information we received.

Rosella rocks! - Rosella (not sure of spelling) was a great guide. The Vatican is an overwhelming place and she managed to get us through it smoothly and made it clear where it was ok to take pictures, and where to stay quiet. She was very knowledgeable and funny. It is a hard job and she made it look easy in high heels and with a smile! I would recommend her highly.

Magnificent - Skip the line and not waiting in line in the hot summer day! My family said the host didn't come out to greet us even we went to there to visit his mansion. So is a 4 stars for our trip. The Swiss guards uniform is quite colorful like a jester. Our tour guide Maria is very knowledgeable and very funny!

First time to the Vatican. - The treasures of the Vatican are amazing and the Sistine Chapel is unbelievably beautiful. It would have been nicer if the tour guide hadn't just left us at the Sistine Chapel after saying we couldn't go to St Peter's because of the audience. It would have been nice for the guide to see us out and explain our location in relation to the front of St Peter's as on other days that's where we would have ended the tour and where we were to meet other family not on the tour.

Just ok - The woman doing our tour in English was a big hard to understand. She also spent too much time outside telling us about the paintings that we would be seeing. It sound have been better if we could have listened to her inside quietly rather than outside.

Rude - That day was a problem with public transportation and were no taxis available so I arrive 15 minutes later and the tour guide does not waited for us and the office tour host was very rude.

Tour about tour company - The tour was with "Tour about" compony. I booked 7-8 tours in Italy (Florence, Rome and Venice) and they all got five stars in my reviews except this one. Vatican was the worst tour. Don't get me wrong, Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica are amazing and must see but the tour and the tour guide were not good. They messaged me the day before the tour that they have to change the my tour from 11:45 to 2:15 because the tour guide called in sick. I believe them and said no problem but later I heard they did exactly the same thing with my nephews who took the same tour only few days before me. Now it is hard to believe. My nephew said they paid for the St Perer's Basilica but it was too late at the end of the tour so they did not even see it. For me the tour guide was so bad that I don't even know what I saw. I recommend to get "no line tour" which is cheaper for this tour and see Vatican without a tour guide or probably with another compony.
