Roman Forum - To truly understand life in Ancient Rome, you must visit the Forum. In downtown Rome’s political, social, and commercial heart, you will walk the Via Sacra and the Via Nova, weaving around ornate arches and towering temples. See the Senate House and the remains of the Rostra - where Senators made the laws and orators decreed them to the masses.
Learn more about the myth-shrouded Romulus or the great Julius Caesar from your expert guide. Although less than half of the Forum is complete today, they’re sure to be able to tell you everything you want to know with their extensive knowledge and passion!

After meeting your guide by the Arch of Constantine, you’ll enter the every stop on your tour with your priority access tickets. Your local, expert historian will guide you through the rich history of Rome’s most iconic monument and the once bustling ancient city that surrounds it.

- Please provide the full names of all travelers when booking. Failure to present a voucher with all travelers’ full names at the ticket office prior to entry may result in denied entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
- Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
- Please note we will either start with the Colosseum or the Roman Forum/Palatine Hill depending on the time of tickets we can purchase
- Colosseum admission is free on the first Sunday of the month. Tours are discounted on these days.
- Please be aware that we offer two Arena tour packages: The VIP Colosseum - Arena Access option grants entry to the Colosseum, Arena floor, Palatine Hill, and Roman Forum. The Arena, Roman Forum & Palatine option provides access to the Arena floor via an exclusive entrance and continues with visits to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Arena, Roman Forum& Palatine option does not visit the Colosseum, it access to Arena floor only.

The only way to see The Colosseum - Paolo our tour guide was more than amazing. His Impeccable knowledge of the Colosseum made the adventure all that much better. He was patient and understanding and answered all her questions. He even demonstrated some reenactments of how things actually were and explained what happened to the Colosseum in the many timeframe in which it stood. We have better knowledge and understanding now of what the arena is, how the gladiators built her status and lived, how the Colosseum was constructed and for what purposes how the animals retreated, staged and used, I found it interesting that many other tourist walking by stopped to hear his explanations and his reenactments. We had a wonderful time a lifelong fulfillment came true and was enhanced by Paolo.

Great experience with Paolo - We took our tour with Paolo, and he was an incredible guide, clearly passionate and knowledgeable about the history of Italy, Rome, and the Colosseum. He kept the group engaged and even took the time to learn all of our names. I would definitely take another tour with this company, especially with Paolo as the guide.

Incredible Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum tour! - Ivana was an incredible guide. She was so personable and so knowledgeable. She supplemented all of our stops with addition pictures and diagrams from books, pamphlets and her iPad. She was funny. Highly recommend Ivana and Carpe Diem tours.

Just ok - The Colosseum certainly doesn’t disappoint! But the check in for this tour was difficult with two smallish young ladies and our guide was very hard to understand. We got the general gist of what she was talking about but feel we missed a lot of the details which is the whole point of booking a tour.
