Fun activity and a different side of Rome in the cool evening - We chose this sunset tour as we wanted to avoid cycling in the heat of the day and also needing to navigate Roman traffic. They rent bikes right on the Appian Way at a lovely Cafe so need to navigate busy city streets. The 4pm 'sunset' tour on the hottest day of your trip was a perfect time to do the catacombs as we had the tour underground in the cool at the peak of the heat and then came out and did the majority of the biking afterwards. The biking part was lovely as the Appian Way feels like biking in the countryside. I was initially worried given reviews about how difficult the biking over the stones are but I was very impressed with the e bikes. Our family is active but not super sporty and we handled them fine. Our guide was great about showing us the smoothest places to ride and checking that we were ok, our teenage son ignored completely the advice but pronounced the tour awesome which is high praise. I also found the mix of riding and talking to be just right, we stopped for a quick break got some info about the road and key people then back on the bike. Lovely afternoon /evening highly recommend

Thrilling experience - The ancient Appian way on bike was one of the thrills of my life. Seeing the trail through the eyes of ancient Romans was incredible. As well as the aqueducts.

Great Way to See the Appian Way - This was a great experience and well worth the cost. The bikes were easy to use and we travelled along the entire 10km length of the trail in the park. The agent was very helpful and we saw lots of sights and took many pictures including of the aqueduct. Really enjoyed the experience and it was great fun.

E-bike Rome for sure - Duarte and another gentleman (who had the good music playing the whole ride) kept us safe and were so knowledgeable of the whole tour and Rome in itself. We were able to see so many sites during the ride and brought us for cappuccino and a delicious cornetto at the end. Learned so much from Duarte, his speaking in Italian, Spanish, English and Portuguese was impressive. Bike was comfortable, low profile and the braking system was excellent. Helmet is supplied. Bring a wind breaker should it be on the chilly side early in the morning. My wife and are avid e-bike owners and riders in the USA, and I was so happy she booked this tour while in Rome.

E-Nike tour Via Appia - The tour with our guide Alessio was fantastic! Alessio is a very experienced guide who can tell you a lot about antiquity along the way and he showed us places in Rome that you would not otherwise have seen. The E-bikes ensure that you do not need to be trained to take this bike tour.

Perfect day tour - The tour was fantastic, with great views. The electric bikes and two guides (one in front and the other one as the last), helped a lot and the tour was really safe, as we were not experienced bikers. One must do tour if you have time and have kids over 13 (youngers may have some difficulty to bike for 36 kilometers). But don’t worry, you won’t need an athletic preparation… the electric bikes do most of the work for you!

Fun, scenic ride. No catacombs. - I would have given 5 stars, but there were no catacombs and that is the reason we chose this tour. The company should update the tour description to be accurate.
