Best food tour ever - I had the food tour at the beginning of my trip with my friends. Our food ambassador was amazing, he was very knowledgable and he tells us a lot of stories about Italian culinary traditions! Highly recommend!

The Best Food Experience in Rome - This tour is well worth your time and money!! On a recent trip to Rome, my friends and I decided to try this walking food tour to taste Rome’s local cuisine. It was the best tour of our trip. Our wonderful culinary guide, Linda, toured us through the streets of Rome eating and drinking at local shops, wine bars and restaurants while she regaled us with stories and pointed out cool venues of interest. Definitely don’t eat before this tour!! Fabulous.

The BEST food tour company in Rome! - This company is wonderful- a MUST for all foodies- ask for Linda G. for your guide- she is so knowledgeable about everything food, and Rome and its neighborhoods as well! Our custom food tour (Walking Pilates included EVERYTHING we asked for) took us to Trastevere to meet Piero the King of Porchetta, then to Testaccio for amazing food stops with craft beer and wine tastings, and lastly to an epic bakery with a Linda arranged amazing birthday cake for my wife! Four hours of great food, local learning, and laughs! Linda even stayed in touch afterwards and via emails directed us to the best in restaurants on the Amalfi Coast, Florence, and more great food shops and restaurants in Rome- she truly is amazing, and Walking Pilates was a pleasure to work with in setting it all up!

Strongly recomended - I am a professional tour guide from northern Italy. When I travel or visit a city, I love to get on guided tours, I believe that they give an added value to the stay. I am also very demanding when it comes to guiding (its my job!) and food. This food tour of Rome really conquered me. I recommend it greatly, especially for the quality of the food and of the wine, but also because the local guides are well-prepared and they are great story-tellers. And since I don’t believe in perfection, my suggestion to make it even better is: offer less food, we had over 15 sampling, towards the end of the tour it was really too much for me: maybe adding another glass of wine? Walking Palates Review - The Walking Palate was a wonderful tour and I highly recommend it!!! On this tour, we were able to sample Italy at its finest! The tour began with appetizers and of course fantastic wine and continued on to several main courses and ending with gelato! Not only did we get to experience sensational food, but we also got to meet some wonderful people and experience their life style!

A taste of the food as well as the culture of Italy - Food and culture are very much intermingled, this tour provided a wonderful experience exposing you to some great foods in an area that was not full of tourist which gave you a much more authentic experience. You also walk off some of the calories so come prepared and wear comfortable walking shoes.

An Enlightening Food and Wine Experience in Rome - This was my first trip to Rome. So much history and culture here that deserves so much respect. The Monti district is a slice of pleasant surprises with interesting shops and restaurants. It is a quaint area with so much to offer in the variety of restaurants and good wine. The real treat is the fresh market. The fresh vegetables and fruits and nuts were a real treat. The WalkingPalate is an informative way to get to know the area and explore all that the area has to offer. I did feel rushed at times and there were a few instances where we would run into the other group; but it all worked out. I didn't think my hunger would be satisfied but I was pleasantly surprised with ample food, drink and gelato. What a great evening!

Disappointing food tour - The tour included only 4 stops. The 1st stop deli was fabulous. Next stop pizzeria included small glass of beer nothing special. The 3rd restaurant was pasta & wine was nice. Last stop for gelato was delicious. Minimal history of area provided. No bakery or fried artichokes

Not the best - Sent the wrong location to meet which meant we had to keep contacting to find out where. We were text to meet at the fountain when there are a large number of fountains in rome. Food was nice but drinks on the small side. 2 glasses of wine and 2 large beers shared between 7 of us for the 3 hours. Not much information from tour guide. Not worth the money.
