The Puracé National Natural Park is located in the biosphere reserve of the Andean belt, the Colombian Massif region belonging to the Central Andes mountain range in Colombia. Its surface is part of the departments of Cauca and Huila. Its altitude is 4646 meters above sea level; In the park is the Puracé volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in Colombia that is part of the Coconucos volcanic chain.1 It also includes part of the Colombian Massif, where four of the largest rivers in Colombia originate: Magdalena , Cauca, Caquetá and Patía.
