Better than the cruise ship excursions! - We appreciate the last minute accommodation. We booked our trip exactly 12 hours before our scheduled departure.
Our driver Judy was awesome! He sought us out and directed us. He was always with us and hiking with us on our excursions.
He was very informative on the culture and history. We were able to stay as long or as short as we wanted at the various stops.
I would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone. I would look forward to doing it again ourselves.
We were able to see more and do more with less cost than the excursions that are scheduled through the cruise ship.

Chasing Waterfalls Fantastic! - Amazing day chasing waterfalls through spectacular scenery. Kurtnny, our guide, was great, friendly and informative. Very helpful in every way . I would recommend this tour with him for everyone visiting Dominica.

Great option for cruise ship day trippers - We arrived by cruise ship so only had limited time to the sample the delights spectacular Dominica. This tour takes in some great 'must see' sights in a calm and relaxed manner.
There were just the three of us with a wonderful tour guide/driver who showed us the sights. The rocks on the beach at Champagne Reef are on the pointy side, rather than smooth rounded pebbles; so make sure you have something to walk on (flip flops/sliders will do fine).
It wasn't obvious where to swim out to at Champagne Reef but not to worry as our guide simply got in the water and led the way! We used out own snorkelling gear at Champagne Reef.
Trafalgar Falls were lovely and we had fun scrambling on the rocks below.
Loved the local fruits sampling - a really enjoyable stop off along the way.
TiTou was another stunning location, once again led by our very own Aquaman! Hiring of buoyancy aids was mandatory here ($3 USD)
Chilled refreshments were provided which was a nice touch.
Tour does not include entry fees to to some locations but they were nominal and it was made clear at time of booking.

Our trip was booked through Viator and fulfilled by chic-hospitality.

Great time - Beautiful way to see the lay of the land. Our favorite was swimming in the cave.
Guild was really nice.

To experience Dominica, get in the water! - It was a joy to experience "The Nature Island" with native "Big Momma" as our guide. His love for the island and its people was evident. Swimming into Titou Gorge was fun and snorkeling the Champagne Reef was amazing. At each of these, we had another experienced guide. Along the way, we learned about the flora and fauna of beautiful Dominica. Thanks to the whole crew!

Good tour & guide, some aspects were underwhelming - We loved the Ti Tou Gorge on tubes. The botanical garden was underwhelming. Champagne reef was closed.

Great Tour, but overpriced. - We arrived via cruise ship and chose this tour because the tours they offered on the ship didn't look nearly as good and were about the same price.
The tour was great and we liked the tour guide and driver. However, the driver was not waiting for us in the area where we were told to meet. We had to ask around the tourism office and he eventually showed up after a bit of a wait. Also, we were kind of annoyed that we had to wait even longer because the tour guide tried to get more cruise ship passengers who didn't book in advance to join the tour.
Again, the driver and tour guide were great and we enjoyed the tour immensely, we were just unhappy with how it started. If I had to guess, the people who joined our tour late were probably able to pay quite a bit less than those of us who booked in advance.
I would advise people visiting Dominica for the day to just find a driver/tour guide upon getting off the ship in the morning. There are a ton of tour guides by the tourism office across the street from the port.

Great Beauty, Poor Operator! - Great sites and sights, terrible operator. We booked our tour for 10:00 AM, but I got a text from the operator at 8:48 saying we needed to meet them at 9. No meeting place, no distinctive shirt or flag - just ask around for Mr. Kojak. Once we got sorted (seems as though there were 10 groups going on the same or similar tours, all under different names), 'Big Mama' walked us to his van and began driving us around. The van was a bit 'sketchy' and the A/C was working at 25% at best. He did his best to narrate the tour, including stopping to show us some of the native fruits and flora, but his thickly accented English was hard to understand. The Pitou gorge is amazing - be sure to try to get all the way back into the final chamber to let the raging torrent soak you thoroughly - but be careful with the strong current and limited hand and footholds. Trafalgar falls are beautiful (see the picture at left), but the hike was a bit more difficult than advertised and the crowds were plentiful. From there, we stopped by the sulphur springs (don't bother), drove through the botanical gardens (ho hum), and finished at a pretty overlook of the town and the pier. Unfortunately, we never made it to Champagne Reef (no explanation was given) and the tour ended 1.5 hours before it was advertised. We're seeking refunds, as are the four others from our van!

Return message - Unfortunately, the excursion did not match the description. The guide spoke very monotonously and constantly! Friends had recommended the excursion to us but we went to completely different places. The excursion van stank disgustingly inside! What a pity, we had expected so much!
