- Freshwater Lake - A 35-minute drive from the tour’s starting point in Roseau takes visitors to Freshwater Lake. Along the way, there will be several photo stops and interesting information about the island will be shared. Ascending to 2,789 feet and then descending to the lake provides a clear understanding of why the island is known as the “Nature Island of the Caribbean,” with its lush greenery and untouched landscapes. It’s an excellent spot for relaxation, offers fantastic photo opportunities, and has a resource center available.
- Titou Gorge - Just a 10-minute drive from the lake is Titou Gorge. Swimming through a narrow gorge with steep walls for about 8 minutes reveals a hidden waterfall. This location was featured in the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest,” and the specific area will be highlighted. Life vests are mandatory here and are provided by the operator.
- Trafalgar Falls - A 20-minute drive from Titou Gorge leads to Trafalgar Falls. A 10-minute walk on a paved trail through the forest brings visitors to the viewpoint of two waterfalls cascading side by side. Locally referred to as Male and Female, they are 125 feet and 75 feet tall, respectively.
- Wotten Waven Sulphur Springs - Just 10 minutes from Trafalgar Falls are the Sulphur Springs. The area is rich with volcanic activity, and a smell reminiscent of rotten eggs will be noticeable. Visitors can take photos of the hot boiling sulphur springs and steaming vents. A therapeutic bath at “Da Escape” Sulphur Spa will leave you feeling rejuvenated.
- Dominica Botanic Gardens - A 20-minute drive back along the same route leads to the city and into the Botanic Gardens. During a 5-minute drive through the gardens, plants of interest will be explained, including the famous African baobab tree that fell on a school bus during Category 5 Hurricane David in 1979.
- Morne Bruce - A 10-minute drive from the Botanic Gardens takes visitors to Morne Bruce, located above the city. This spot offers a stunning bird’s-eye view of Roseau and is a great photo stop. The area serves as a police academy, and visitors can see the ruins of the old garrison used by the British, as well as the old cannon.
