Incredible Dominica - We (our group of 7 friends) just finished a 9 day custom tour of Dominica with Nahgie and Junior from Just Go Dominica. We are all in our 60s and early 70s and this was our most adventurous vacation to date from snorkeling with whales, to canyoning with Extreme Dominica, to doing challenging water based and other hikes (Victoria Falls, Glassy Pools, Freshwater lake, Syndicate Falls, ...), snorkeling in a bunch of different locations, birdwatching, river tubing, touring, all arranged impeccably and seamlessly by Nahgie.
We are completely blown away by this incredibly beautiful island and all that it has to offer, our experience made all the more memorable by the incredibly competent guiding services and personal care and attention provided by our amazing guides Nahgie and Junior.
We never felt any apprehension doing all these thrill activities because we had the two of them with us. They were fun to converse with and interact with and their pride and love for their amazing island came across so palpably.
It was the most fun vacation ever and we all seriously doubt that any other island in the Caribbean can top the experiences we had in Dominica.
We are all travel crazy and we friends have been traveling together since 2010 and we never repeat a destination. But we are all agreed that we will come back to Dominica again in a few years time cos even with 9 days there, we just didnt have enough. And Nahgie and Junior have promised to be our guides again when we do!

Private family tour of some of the best parts of Dominica! So recommended! - What isn't to love about Dominica? This is a stunning island, and we love that we got to see most of it on this tour. Despite a slow start (because of Covid, Dominica was only allowing cruise passengers to go on tours with government-sponsored tour companies), our tour guide was finally allowed entrance into the cruise terminal area to get us. He first took us to the champagne reef for snorkeling. Keep in mind that the tour operator didn't have enough snorkel equipment for all of us, so you might want to bring your own. Loved swimming through the warm bubbles in the reef and taking underwater photos. Next up, we went to the Titou Gorge. We were the only ones in the gorge (our tour guide said he has NEVER seen this before, so Covid must be hurting tourism here!). We swam through icy water to the hidden waterfall at the back. Amazing!! To warm up, we stood under a warm stream of water heated from the nearby volcanoes. Then we headed to the mountain top to the freshwater lake. Although it was about 80 degrees on the coast, the mountaintop was much chillier, and we were wet from snorkeling and swimming in the gorge. The tour operator recommends you bring dry clothes and towels, but I would recommend bringing a sweatshirt too for this portion. We had a delicious home-cooked meal (meat pies and plantains!) from a restaurant on the lake, finishing our meal with coconut and prune hand-pies for dessert! Since we were so cold, we skipped the lake kayaking portion. Instead we went to a pair of waterfalls, hiking through to the base. Again, we were the ONLY ones in this park, and that was truly special. One other memorable moment was when our guide stopped by the side of the road to grab some watercress for us to try. Great tour and beautiful island!

Excellent Tour - Captured the Essence of Dominica - We booked the Get Set Wet Day Tour as it sounded like fun and included a variety of activities and also was going to give us a general overview of the island. None of us had been to Dominica before. It is a beautiful natural paradise. Nahgie Laflouf was our guide and he was terrific in every way. We first went to a snorkeling spot (only one of us snorkeled but she thoroughly enjoyed it), swam to a hidden waterfall through a beautiful narrow gorge/canyon, had an authentic island lunch and hiked a rain forest trail to other waterfalls. Nahgie was very informative, engaging and a great advocate for his island homeland. We all enjoyed the tour immensely and would highly recommend it.
