The therapeutic waters at Polynesian Spa come from two different natural springs:

The Priest Spring is named after Father Mahoney, a Catholic Priest who was ‘cured’ of his crippling arthritis from bathing in the waters in 1878. The slightly acidic water from the Priest Spring relieves tired muscles, aches and pains.

The Rachel Spring is a source of alkaline water, which features the antiseptic action of sodium silicate nourishing the skin. It was historically said that those who bathe in the waters of the Rachel Spring are blessed with ageless beauty

Pavilion pools are worth it! - Beautiful and relaxing time, I highly recommend! I’ve never been to a spa before, I’m not usually into that stuff, but this is super cool since they get the minerals from the actual thermal pools. Very clean and quiet (on a Monday in Sept). The regular pavilion pools were enough, happy I didn’t spend the extra on the deluxe package.

Deepen your relaxation at these pools - This was a lovely experience. I went after a day of travel and a massage and it really helped me to relax. I am not sure of the waters are magic, but I truly felt better after my soak. Overall great facilities and staff, a must for people taking trip to Rotorua. I really appreciated that this adult area was quiet and peaceful, but also met warm and friendly people who were happy to quietly chat about life and the world.

Nice atmosphere, great pools, very relaxing for acceptable price - what a wonderful and nice location, heaps of pools ranging all temperatures. Kids araea and private pools are in different areas of the Polynesian Spa. We went at 10, it was not to obusy, and then got really empty after lunch time Heaps of parking. If you're staying in the city then just walk here!. Have a look at bookme voouchers!

The BEST massage I’ve ever had! - Probably the BEST mineral hot pool experience in Rotorua (I went to 3!) 5 different pools each with a different alkalinity (including an acid pool - the famed priest pool) and different temperature! The massage I had was very possibly the best I have had in my life (and I’ve had plenty!) Cheenelyn LITERALLY has healing hands and paid very particular attention to where I asked her to focus (not a regular occurrence in my experience)…can’t talk highly enough of her attention and personal involvement to n the treatment … I went for the Himalayan salt treatment and the oil massage follow up - superb!

Super relaxing - We went to relax in the thermal pools, everything was wonderful. At the end it felt like we had received a massage, we felt so good. It is worth it! You buy it and you can stay as long as you want. We loved it and would go back if we return to Rotorua.

Boil up and pork bones. - It is a mean as place for a soak, private pools are good for some peace and quiet. The public pools, when not too busy are also not bad.
