Awesome! See Kiwis up close! - I loved being able to see 3 kiwi birds and a baby in an incubator! Our tour guide was informative and we had a small group. This was so worth it if you’re near Rotorua! I also like that the money made from your ticket funds the conservation this sanctuary does. Their work is so important!

Wonderful Learning Experience for all Ages. - This is a must do on the North Island! Teresa was our guide and she was fantastic! Teresa was so knowledgeable, explained everything, took questions and you could feel the passion there that all of the staff have for these beautiful creatures. We got to see every part of the kiwi's development, the candling process and actually view kiwi's in their environment.

A must for all in nature and kiwis xnterested people! - We are very glad we booked this tour. It was very interesting, we learned much about kiwis. It was touching to see these birds in the "night house" (we were very lucky to see three kiwis!). Our guide Melanie was very sympathic and told us much about kiwis. We were happy that her English was so good to understand (for foreigners it's sometimes hard to understand the fast speaking (but always friendly) people in NZ 😉. We recommend this tour very much! Thank you very much!

Kiwi a very nice experience - A very nice time spent with a passionate. Good explanations, the course is didactic and we had the chance to see 2 Kiwis in their nocturnal enclosures and a small controlled during our passage (weighing, state of health...). Your contribution to the repopulation in nature of this particular and endearing bird. Thank you for them!

Informative and entertaining. Thanks Melanie. - This tour, led by Melanie, was informative and fun. We learned a lot about the conservation and repopulation efforts. These flightless birds are amazing and beautiful. A wonderful experience.

Simply a must-do on the north island - I had written a long rave but the app didn't post or save it; so, in a nutshell: - must-do in NZ because unique in the country - informative, engaging, friendly tour - we saw Kiwis, even one hatched the day before - not funded, so Kiwis need you to book this tour since they're critically endangered - not expensive - almost perfect in terms of duration, information, conservation surplus, friendliness You probably won't see Kiwis any other way and are doing something for conservation of this odd and fantastic animal.

So great! - This tour was so great and informative! We learned everything there is to know about Kiwis! We also got to see some Kiwis which was amazing! Unfortunately we couldn’t take photos, which was very sad. I don’t believe this would be any problem for them, but we respected it nonetheless. At the end you can even sponsor your own kiwi and name it if you’d like, which I thought was amazing. And the whole amount of money of the tickets goes to the Kiwis and I think that’s amazing. Great visit and great guide!

Worth the experience! - This was an experience that I had been excitedly anticipating once I realized that I would not be seeing kiwis in the wild all over New Zealand. I was so excited to observe the living birds, some only days old. We were able to see one hand fed and saw eggs that were incubating up close. Our guide was informative as were the videos presented.
