If you have biked in the Redwoods bike park before - imagine the possibilities with a full suspension electric bike that effortlessly pulls you up those big hills, then bombs right down them. This park is for riders of all levels with a variety of trails to suit.

Probably the best mountain bike park this side of the equator. If you have biked in the Redwoods bike park before - imagine the possibilities with a full suspension electric bike that effortlessly pulls you up those big hills, then bombs right down them. This park is for riders of all levels with a variety of trails to suit.
This is run as a relaxed semi-guided experience, where there are a couple of guides to show you some trails and then leave you to enjoy the park as you please. There are always guides in a central location to assist where needed and show you some local favourites throughout the day.
- Your Requirements:
- You must be able to comfortably ride a bike
- You must be 15 years old with a parental guardian, or be a minimum 18 years of age
- You must be 160cm or above – this reflects frame sizing on our Ebikes
- You must wear closed toe active shoes and comfortable clothing
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately

Ebike Tour with Joe - Excellent picturesque tour of many mountain bike terrain areas - geothermal, redwood, classic NZ bush - both stream and rugged. We are both novices and not “spring chickens”, but are familiar with e-bikes. Our Tour guide Joe judged the difficulties of the tracks for us perfectly. Joe detailed information about the tracks through out, what to watch out for, and how to tackle it. It made our 3.5 hours of solid cycling challenging fun, and gave us a really exciting morning. We felt safe and exhilarated at all times. That’s a great combo! Thanks Jo!

Excellent - Because of time restraint i decided to give ebike a try end up it was the best decision because ive riden 21 miles in short period of time.

Love those Redwoods!!! - Great ride, love their E-bikes! We had a young Dutch guide by the name of Tys that spoke perfect English and made it very enjoyable for us 70 year olds!!!

In Rotarua, which MTB area/ guide to pick? - I had a business trip to NZ and squared away a spare day to MTB in the fabled Rotorua area. The best area to ride is the Redwoods, and the way to enjoy most decents is on an large travel, slack head electric bike for the day. Throw in Joe, a guide who knows all the trails and hazards to watch, and you would have ended up at Mohawks. 9am to 3pm, riding 50 odd kms. I had a lunch supplied which wad so large I had it for dinner as well I the way back to Auckland. I have been riding for 10 years, had never ridden am e bike before, and had my most enjoyable day in the saddle. Highly recommend Mohawks. Pros from start to finish.

Awesome trail riding with Joe - My dad, brother and I had a stellar day in the Redwoods with Joe. We were picked up at our residence and brought to the bike shop for a quick orientation. Afterwards we started our ride through the geothermal areas that surround the area before making it to the Redwoods.
These were among the best mountain biking trails we have ever ridden (plus the Ebike makes climbing hills much less of a chore). Joe was a friendly and charming guide and was able to pick trails that matched our skill level. An awesome 6 hour tour !
Added perk, the included lunch was phenomenally delicious and he had cold beers waiting for us in the car on the ride home! If you love mountain biking and haven’t yet given the Ebike a ride, I highly recommend going on a ride with Joe!

Redwoods ebikes guided tour - Enjoyed by whole family. The ebikes are ideal and our guide Thijs was great. We have been wanting to do the Redwoods for a long time. Having a guide made it easy and the electric bikes meant that we saw so much more. We will definitely be back because the Redwoods is massive and we probably saw about 30% of it.

terrific way to explore - Joe took my wife and I for a private cycle tour on his fantastic Ebike mountain bikes. brilliant fun, great way to see the area, and a top guide/bloke at the same time. 10/10!

A great way to explore the Redwoods - Joe took us out to the Redwoods with a couple of E-Mountain Bikes and it was wonderful. We're both beginner mountainbikers and we were guided through the different trails, levelling up as we progressed. We covered so many trails, it was amazing.
I had a small accident, leaving me with a bruise and torn pants. Our guide was with me within one minute with a first aid kit, and even drove us to the nearby mall to get some new pants so we could continue. Epic service!

Amazing! A Must-Do - John and his wife were very professional and adapted the tour individual to the different skills for beginners up to the profs. Very good fully e-mtbs, Focus with Shimano motor and double batteries. The company supplies new helmets, back-bag, water bottles, suncream, gloves and muesli bars. We spent half a day in the Redwoods riding all sorts of trails. Thank you both for the great time we have had. It was pure fun. An absolute Must-Do in Rotorua if you like biking. I will come back for sure!
