Excellent tour - Very interesting tour. This is a living Maori site, where Maori actually live. It was interesting to learn about their customs - especially the community cooking - and how they live with the geothermal features underneath them.

The tour of the village is great, the self guided trails slightly lacking substance. - The guided tour was great, tour groups aren’t too large. The guide is relaxed and friendly. The experience of eating food cooked in the pool is fantastic. The only note to make the experience better would be for the self guided trails. There is minimal information provided about the history of the pools and Navigation is a little challenging. Besides that, the tour is definitely worth your time.

EXCELLENT experience , but Don’t Buy from Tripadvisor (rip off) - The guided tour was outstanding, and the Maori performance was truly impressive. However, I did notice that Tripadvisor has ripped us off, considering the family admission at the gate is only $129 & TA charged $200. It might be worth exploring more aligned pricing options.

Interesting visit - The village experience was enlightening and guide very pleasant and the geothermal walk interesting however better signposting re direction was needed. We all felt for value for entry a little more attention to be given to upgrade the experience
