- Markthal - Located in the heart of Rotterdam, the Markthal is a remarkable structure. Since its opening in autumn 2014, it has become one of Europe’s most stunning covered markets. - Kijk-Kubus - For 40 years, the cube houses in Rotterdam have been a unique attraction. Their unconventional design makes one wonder about their livability. Initially, it feels like trying on a well-fitting coat: it takes time to feel at home. Embracing the quirky, slanted shapes and getting creative is key. While professional help is available, personalizing the space yourself brings greater satisfaction and connection. Due to the need for adaptability and creativity, and the presence of three floors with steep stairs, these cube houses are more suited for young starters than seniors. However, climbing the stairs is a great way to stay fit. The location is excellent, situated in the eastern part of the city center, near Blaak Station, Market Hall, weekly market, Library, and the Old Harbour. Rotterdam is internationally renowned for its architecture, particularly the distinctive cube houses.
- Royal Delft - Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles - A visit to the Royal Delft Museum, the only remaining earthenware factory from the 17th-century Golden Age, offers a comprehensive look at the history of the Porceleyne Fles. Explore the historical collection, including the royal collection, and discover the traditional production process of Delft Blue pottery in the factory. The museum houses an extensive collection of Delft antiques, including a reproduction of Rembrandt’s The Night Watch made with original Delft blue tiles.
Following this, the tour proceeds to the Oude Kerk, a Gothic Protestant church in Delft’s old city center. It serves as the burial site for deceased members of the Royal Family.
- Binnenhof & Ridderzaal (Inner Court & Hall of the Knights) - Experience the Dutch parliament from the outside in The Hague, a site listed among the Top 100 Dutch heritage sites. The Binnenhof is one of the world’s oldest parliament buildings still in use. Visitors can observe politicians in action as they explore these historic buildings. There are opportunities for taking beautiful photographs.
- Peace Palace - Capture stunning photographs of the Peace Palace.
- International Criminal Court - Take the opportunity to photograph the International Criminal Court.
- Scheveningen - Part of The Hague, Scheveningen is Holland’s most popular seaside town. With its expansive beaches, Scheveningen is a delightful destination for all ages, year-round. The Scheveningen Pier, fully renovated in 2015, is an iconic landmark. For a leisurely experience, ride the 42-meter Ferris wheel and enjoy views of the Dutch coast. Stroll along the boulevard and dine at one of the charming restaurants or beach clubs.
