Highlights
  • World Heritage Kinderdijk - Kinderdijk, a World Heritage site featuring 19 windmills from the 18th century. In addition to the windmills, you’ll experience the quintessential Dutch landscape.
  • Erasmus Bridge - The Erasmus Bridge, alongside the Willemsbrug, is the second bridge over the Nieuwe Maas in central Rotterdam and the Port of Rotterdam. Named after the Dutch priest and humanist Erasmus, it connects the Kop van Zuid district with the city center on the river’s north side.
  • Rotterdam Centraal Station - Rotterdam Central Station, one of the busiest spots in Rotterdam, is celebrated for its stunning architecture.
  • Delftse Poort - Delftsche Poort was a city gate in Rotterdam, with the latest version built in 1764 based on a design by architect Pieter de Swart. It was the third gate at that location, as the previous two were demolished shortly after their construction.
  • City Hall Rotterdam - The city hall of Rotterdam is one of the few buildings that withstood the war.
  • Meent - A famous street lined with numerous stores and cafes, perfect for a leisurely day out.
  • Grote of Sint-Laurenskerk - Discover the rich history and design of the Laurens church, one of the few buildings that survived World War II.
  • Cube Houses - The Cube Houses. You’ll also get to explore the interior of a real Cube House.
  • Markthal - A place where diverse cultures converge, celebrated with a variety of foods!
  • Witte Huis - Rotterdam’s first skyscraper!
  • Museumpark Rotterdam uit 1927 - The Museum Park is situated between the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, the Westersingel, the Westzeedijk, and the Erasmus MC complex. It occupies the former estate of the Hoboken family, who resided in the Villa Dijkzigt, now home to the Natural History Museum Rotterdam since 1987.
  • Witte de Withstraat - De Witte de Withstraat is a vibrant nightlife street in Rotterdam, featuring cafes, restaurants, art galleries, various shops, and municipal monuments. It connects the Schiedamse Vest with the Eendrachtsweg and was named in 1871 after Rotterdam fleetmaster Witte Cornelisz. de With (1599 - 1658).

In the 1970s, the street had a notorious reputation due to numerous shady cafes and illegal gambling houses. In the 1990s, it underwent a significant transformation as part of the Art Axis, linking the Museum Park and the Maritime Museum.

Wonderful Private Tour With Lots of Extras - We had an amazing day with our private guide Julia. She was so energetic and fun and was very in tune to what we wanted to see and do, and planned the day according to our interests. We took several breaks to relax and visit, which was necessary with all the walking we did. She also made sure that we tried all the local foods. Just such a perfect day. Highly recommend this tour and highly recommend Julia as your guide.

Very informative - Sebastian was a great guide. He took us through the entire city of Rotterdam. We were able to experience different forms of transportation from the metro, bus, water bus and water taxi. The visit to the windmills in Kinderdijk was very interesting. Sebastian taught us a lot about the various places we visited.

Wonderful Tour of Rotterdam! - Our tour guide, Julia, did a wonderful job of showing us all around Rotterdam. It was really fun having a guide dedicated to the two of us (me and my wife). We put on a few miles walking around the city, but found it very fascinating and informative. The tour of the windmills was quite exceptional as well. Julia did an excellent job explaining the history, especially the involvement of WWII. We enjoyed the different foods along the way. Julia made sure we tried several different foods unique to the area. It was great fun, informative and a day well spent with Julia!

Wonderful Tour of Rotterdam! - We had a very nice tour of Rotterdam (City) and then off to Kinderdijk. Our tour guide was Julia and she did an awesome job for us. She knew the history of the City as well and many of the buildings. If she did not know the answer to a question or was not sure, she would get it on her phone in seconds. We enjoyed trying different foods from the area and Julia was very helpful in recommending different things to do and eat. The famous windmills were awesome to visit as well. It was a truly enjoyable day with a very nice young lady as a great guide!

Fantastic Guide! - Izzy was a fantastic guide! He’s well educated and well versed. He knows the history of the area and explained many interesting details. He worked the tour around some threatening weather and brought us to one location before the crowds arrived. Izzy is a Dutchman that speaks English clearly and eloquently. He strives to make the tour as though a friend was showing you around. He succeeded!

A good day long introduction to Rotterdam - Our private tour gave us a good introduction to the city. Our guide Kagan was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The tour involved a good deal of walking. For the most part there were sufficient stops to keep from getting tired, but we would have preferred taking a tram or metro rather than the last long walk from the cube house to the water bus. The boat ride to the Kinderdjik site was relaxing. The site itself was wonderful, seeing all of the old windmills and learning about their construction and functionality. The included lunch at the Markthal was nice.
