Gave a wonderful overview of Rouen setting up places to explore further over the next few days - Salma was an excellent guide. She told us that this was only her 3rd tour but was able to provide historical background and as a local gave great insights into best streets, cafes and restaurants.

Get the inside scoop of Rouen with Tanguy - We enjoyed our private tour with Tanguy. He met us at our hotel and then we were off touring the city. Tanguy was very knowledgeable on the history the city, which made the tour enjoyable and worthwhile. Highly recommend Tanguy as a guide.

Excellent Experience - I recently had the opportunity to take a captivating tour of Rouen, a city full of history and charm. From the start, I was impressed by the preserved medieval architecture and cobbled streets that bear witness to the area's rich past. The tour began with the majestic Notre-Dame Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece that captured my imagination from the first moments. The interior of the cathedral is equally impressive with its magnificent stained glass windows and its spiritual atmosphere. Strolling through the picturesque streets of old Rouen, I was enchanted by the authentic atmosphere of the city. The brightly colored half-timbered houses add a picturesque touch to the whole, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The passionate and knowledgeable guide shared fascinating anecdotes about local history, making the tour an educational and entertaining experience.

Not what we hoped for - We have dome a number of viator sponsored walking tours of cities around Europe and this one was quite different. We had hoped to have a Rouen city expert showcase their city with history, stories and insights into the past and present of this charming city. I was asked and responded three times with things we wanted to see on our tour, but no one told our tour guide what we wanted to see in advance. Our tour guide was sweet and attentive and kind and ready to show us any sites that we wanted to see, but he had not been prepped with any of the city's history or historic knowledge about people and places. It was helpful not to have to navigate the city by map, but we truly could have done the tour ourselves and I used google throughout the tour to learn more about the cathedrals and Jeanne d'Arc and Justice Ministry and other sites. We also booked the tour for a Friday afternoon and it would have been helpful to know that the Justice Ministry, clock, Jeanne d'Arc church and other sites would be closed. Other walking city tours have been led by guides with long personal histories in their city who had an abundance of experiences, stories and history to share. We really liked our guide, but he was ill-prepared to lead a historical tour of a city and we fault the company for not preparing him better as he was a college student not a full time guide or historian.

No show - Received an email at 12:05 am the day of the tour asking if they could reschedule since they didn’t have a guide available. We made reservation several weeks in advance. On the plus side they were quick to reschedule our payment.

No show guide - We were very much looking forward to our tour of beautiful Rouen, but the guide failed to show up despite having charged my credit card for the tour a couple of days ago. We waited 45 minutes and decided to go off on our own.

Very disappointing tour. - Today's "3-Hour Private Custom Walking Guided Tour in Rouen" was very disappointing. While the guide was a lovely person she was not equipped to provide a "Private Custom Walking Guided Tour". When we first met we were instructed to simply download the Rouen Enigma app and follow the tour that way. The guide provided no particular insight nor did she offer any information that was not provided in the app. Advertised as a 3-Hour tour, at 2 hours the guide said she was done and left us even though the app tour was unfinished. We feel taken advantage of as the night before the tour the tour company asked if we would be willing to move our tour to another day. Apparently they were having trouble finding a guide for our previously booked tour and if fact, as described above, we were provided with an unprepared guide.
