Cathedral and half-timbered houses - Rouen, pearl and capital of Normandy, a paved pedestrian center with medieval half-timbered houses, the city is dominated by the spiers of Notre-Dame Cathedral, a beauty that will never be forgotten. A historic center alive with many young people and many less young people, order and cleanliness, many welcoming places at reasonable prices.

Very quaint - Don’t be put off by the centre of town. It’s where the big department stores are. Head for the spire of the Norte dam cathedral and you will find the old cobbled streets where the individual shops and antique shops are. Head for the ornate clock that’s above the archway, sit a while at the cafe under the clock and wait for the hour to sound, you’ll see the freeze under the clock change.
