- Rovaniemi - Let’s embark on a journey to look for northern lights. Since it is a natural phenomenon, chasing northern lights can be tricky. With the help of scientific data sources and practical knowledge, northern lights activity can be forecasted maximum 3 days in advance. However, having a clear sky is the first condition here. During this trip, our aim is to predict the northern lights situation and then drive to locations with a sky free from cloud, even if it is hundreds of kilometers away from Rovaniemi. Trip duration 3-8hrs, depending on the situation. Please leave a message if you have any further inquiries or requests.
Please note that somedays northern lights activity is big and somedays it is not so big. We will cancel/reschedule (if possible) the trips if the is absolutely no chance to see northern lights. If there is no aurora visible in the camera, you will receive your money back. In that case we will charge only 50 EUR/person to cover the fuel cost.

Additional Information
Tailor made trips according to weather forecast and aurora forecast. Destination and starting time and length of the trip changes according to those forecasts. There is no km limit, we will go hundreds of km to find a clear sky. Unlike the big tour companies, this is a small group experience: 8 people max. If there is no northern lights visible in the camera, you will receive a partial refund. If possible, the trip will be rescheduled / substituted if there no chance of seeing northern lights.

Northern lights tour - We went with my friends to search for the lights with Shihab and we had amazing and such a fun night with beautiful lights, I would love to experience that again!! He is fun and passionate guide and we got our pictures and lots of new information

Best northern lights tour in Rovaniemi - Amazing experience. On the day we went to this excursion, the northern lights forecast was very low. They informed us the probability of seeing aurora and was very honest about it. Since it was our last day, we decided to give it a go. The guide from Into North drove us into Sweden in search of clear sky and in the end we got rewarded by a beautiful show. I highly recommend this trip if you really want to see northern lights.

100% recommend this tour! - I would 100% recommend going on this tour if you want to see the northern lights while staying in Rovaniemi! Shihab was an amazing tour guide and was very knowledgeable about when and how to spot the lights. We appreciated his honesty about the fleeting possibility of seeing the lights based on the forecast on the night that we wanted to go. However, with his willingness to drive as far as we needed to go to find the best view of the lights, and with a bit of luck, we managed to see them! The added bonus was that Shihab is also a professional photographer and brought props to help us get the most magical photos! Thank you Shihab!

Great experience huntig northern lights. - Great experience! Shihab was very commited to show us the northern lights, drove us even to Sweden while staying in contact wirh other guides. When we found the northern lights he took the time to make great pictures of the lights and us, even driving to another spot. Would fully recommend!

Northern Lights Hunting - Shihab was a really nice guide and even though it was a cloudy night he took us to Sweden so we could see some northern lights - he also had a lot of knowledge. It was also -20° that night so he made sure to heat up the car while we waited for a wave of lights to come.
Even though the northern lights weren't that strong that night the photos he took turned out great and it was a memorable night!

Great trip to the Northern Lights with Shihab - Shihab took us to see the Northern Lights, which wasn't easy this week. We were on the road for 9 hours and it was worth it. We were able to see the Northern Lights about 250 km from Rovaniemi. He explained a lot to us about how the phenomenon occurs and sent us some great photos a day later. Thank you for the great experience.

Absolutely incredible - Shihab was amazing and genuinely just seemed like a really lovely person. He really went above and beyond in explaining everything and in the planning- even taking us TO SWEDEN to get us the best experience. Couldn't recommend more.

Trust the process! - It was so cloudy in Rovaniemi that we were afraid we wouldn’t see the Northern Lights, but after a 3h drive and 1h waiting, we got the see the beautiful lights! Luckily Shihab knows what he is doing and he is very patient.
Yes, he cancelled our initial booking, but that was because it was cloudy and he rescheduled it to an (obviously) better night: so trust Shihab when he cancels the trip. He’s not doing that for its pleasure, but because he doesn’t want you to pay and hope for something you will not see. Other tours wouldn’t cancel and you will need to pay even without seeing the lights.

Amazing experience - Even though it was cloudy in Rovaniemi, Shihab did his research, was in contact with other guides, to find us a good spot. We drove for over 3 hours, but it was all worth it! Would recommend Shihab to others in Rovaniemi who is looking for a Northern Lights hunt/chase.

Request refund airport taxes - For medical reasons I was unable to take my flight Vancouver Montreal/Lyon. I understood that 100% refund is not possible. However, according to Regulation (EC) No 261/2004, the airline is obliged to refund the airport tax (QW on the air ticket) and the passenger charge (QX on the air ticket) because the passenger no longer represents any burden for the airline.
Air Transat refuses to apply this regulation and therefore you will not be refunding these taxes.
