Best day - If I could give 10 stars, I would. Had a very nice tour. Doggies are very loved a very well cared for. Tour went through the forest and bit over a lake. Lovely! Guides super nice and you can see and feel the love for the dogs. Afterwards, time crosses your fingers to hug and take pictures. Cuddle with the puppies for dessert. Only downside was that you weren't allowed to take them. This tour is highly recommended!

Amazing husky safari - An amazing husky experience!! The dogs are well taken care of and very cuddly. The sleigh ride had the perfect length and we both got the opportunity to steer. We got a lot of insights into the huskies and were even able to cuddle some puppies. Also the allround package was super with pick-up, winter clothing and drop-off - highly recommended!

Must-do in Lapland - It was one of the most amazing tours we have ever done. It's been on my bucket list for a long time and we enjoyed it so much :-) First the sleigh ride for about 30 minutes, then cuddling the animals and taking photos, then warming up in a tent with juice and cookies and then the guide has a lot about the huskies and brought over a 10-week baby that we could also cuddle. It was one of the most beautiful experiences ever!! Highly Recommended!

Nice experience - Of course, the experience itself cannot be topped. The guides and staff were all incredibly friendly too 😀! What we liked best was the opportunity to drive the sleigh ourselves! An incredibly beautiful and exciting experience. After the ride, you can warm up at the campfire with a hot cup of tea. However, I think the groups are a bit large. There is a little unrest. Some animals seemed a bit stressed while waiting before the start. The guides told us a lot about the husky trips and the training, but I was missing some marginal information (e.g. on the website) that concerns the animals' welfare: what happens to the huskies in the summer or what happens after their "sled dog career" . I would like to see a little more transparency here, as animal welfare should be the top priority when choosing such tours... Still a recommendable experience with well-groomed huskies and super nice guides! 😀

Husky sledge ride in Lapland. - Beautiful husky ride in fabulous scenery. Chance to pet them afterwards and hear all about how they are looked after. Dogs seemed well and happy.

Very nice experience - We had a very nice experience with getting to drive a dog band on our own. It was friendly staff who had a great focus on the welfare of the animals and that we should have a good experience. The experience lasted approximately 2 hours, but the very slide ride lasted quite short. Then we greeted the dogs and puppies.

Ride of a lifetime - Excellent , clothes included, dogs were well looked after, didn’t feel rushed afterwards , got to pet and hold young huskeys and warm up in front of the fire, actual ride was good but we had really slow dogs at the front so spent most of the ride braking didn’t get much speed!

Scam money machine - We spent over 3000 euros at Apukka resort on all their excursions. The service and quality are not at all up to the price. It's a tourist factory that handles hundreds of pigeons a day, a bad McDo of excursions. Only the snowmobile ride is passable. The Husky dog ride lasts 10 minutes, it's a scam. All evening excursions after 6pm are to be avoided absolutely because of the extreme cold and the very low chances of seeing an Aurora Boreale, risks about which Apukka Resort brazenly lies to its guests. Do not pay for your excursions in advance, they refuse any refund and especially any exchange. There are many competitors in Rovaniemi and you will always find places for an excursion, even at Christmas. To be avoided absolutely!

Misleading rules and empty promises - My 4 years old son got a split lip and was covered in blood, so my hubby and I asked Apukka adventures representative to rebook our “Horse sleigh ride under the night sky” or offer us any other activity another day because our baby simply could not attend 3h ride with -15C temperature. As a result, we had to wait an hour in the Apukka adventures office for an answer and then we were sent home only to get quite a rude email the main idea of which was that Apukka adventures manager did not consider our injured child was a valid reason for an activity exchange! This is simply socking! We did not even ask for a refund! We asked to exchange an activity in good faith. Moreover, we booked 5 excursions this year and 4 other excursions in 2018. Apparently, over 5000€ spent on Apukka adventures excursions was not enough to offer us a better attitude. Moreover, Apukka adventures employees were almost always stressed and inattentive. There were a way too many customers everywhere (changing rooms, toilets etc). Considering several excursions cost over 1000€ per family (which is a monthly salary of over 70% of Spaniards), it’s completely unacceptable! I suggest you never use Apukka adventures services because the only thing they do well — is sucking your money giving very little or nothing in return.
