The minivan expedition to Korouoma Canyon lasts approximately 1.5 hours. The hike is of moderate intensity, stretching across 3-6km. Korouoma, a fracture valley, measures about 30 km in length and runs from the northwest to southeast, bordering Posio and Ranua municipalities. This valley is a part of a fracture region in the bedrock, which dates back several hundred million years. The entire area stretches from Rovaniemi town, passes through the Kemijoki River Valley, Autti, Auttiköngäs Falls and continues through Korouoma to Kuusamo.

A brief half-hour transfer from Korouoma Canyon to Auttiköngäs Falls follows. A 4km moderate-intensity hike awaits, with a convenient picnic arranged mid-route. The terrain here is strikingly rugged and majestic, with numerous 30 meter steep streams that turn into large ice formations in winter, offering breathtaking views and a wonderful interplay of colors.

The location offers all-year-round photo opportunities capturing nature in its purest form.

The total duration of the trip is between 7-8 hours.
