The Rovaniemi Northern... - The Rovaniemi Northern Lights Photography Small-Group Tour with Beyond Arctic was absolutely fantastic! We witnessed the northern lights at their best, and the guide (Juhani) was incredibly knowledgeable about both the lights and Finnish culture. The delicious dinner and the overall experience went above and beyond expectations. Highly recommended!

Beautiful outing to see the Northern Lights - Very nice evening with a dynamic guide and everything was done so that we did not get cold and qq activities waiting for dawn! We were lucky crazy: superb dawn for over an hour and a half. Magic show!

The best way to see the lights!! - Highly recommend this activity! Charlotte picked us from our hotel, offered us equipment and dropped us at the best location in the forest. Best view, best photos, sausages at the fire, hot juice in thermos and ofcourse the best chance to see arctic lights. The best experience!

Good experience, but there is a high chance to miss northern ligths - The experience was good, but we were unlucky, and we couldn't see the northern lights due to cloudy weather. If your aim is to see it, then you should book another tour, which guarantees this (they will drive you to Sweden to find the light if necessary). The weather around Rovaniemi is quite cloudy, so it is very likely that you will miss the northern lights with this tour.

Disappointing price-quality - First of all, one of the main attractions was the opportunity to see the Northern Lights, but we were told that this was not guaranteed. I understand that this is beyond their control, but given the high price of the tour, I think that partial reimbursement should be considered if the aurora are not visible or almost not visible, as this is one of the highlights of the tour.
They take us to a so-called "private" spot 20 minutes from the city. We sit and wait. These are spots you can find yourself even if you are quite adventurous.
In addition, the vehicle was stuck for 1h30 in the snow (we returned home at 2:30). Although this incident was unforeseen, it had a major impact on comfort and our schedule for the next day. We had to wait in unpleasant conditions, push the car and this reduced the quality of the exit. This unforeseen event could have been anticipated with more suitable equipment. A commercial gesture for the inconvenience would have been appreciated to compensate this problem... Unfortunately they didn't want to hear it
In conclusion, this trip was far too expensive for what was offered: a campfire, grilled sausages and an uncertain tour of the Northern Lights. I would not recommend this activity to those looking for a more mature experience for such a high price.
My advice is to rent a car and bring the “Aurora Forecast” app and venture away and look for them all night (several free spots are available on the Internet). However drive carefully and be careful do not go into the forest with your car, park it on the side and walk with flashlights. A good camera is recommended if the conditions for the Northern Lights are not met.
If you’re not very adventurous, you’re looking for more of a “safe” activity and you have money to spend, then you can take a guide.

Terrible host - Avoid Jorge / this tour like a plague. Completely unprofessional, no toilet break for 6 hours, no sausages cooked on a fire, just relentless chasing the lights and getting angry at his apps.
Stuck on motorways trying to hope over fences to avoid the traffic. Saw a 2 second glimpse of the lights but that's fine, they aren't guaranteed. What they needed to do (and 100% failed on) was basic hospitality and creating an experience outside of the lights to make sure everyone had a nice time.
I came away with bladder pains, anxiety etc and I was made to feel like a problem.
Save your money. Terrible experience, totally unprofessional guide that should be fired.

Just an expensive drive - Very disappointing. Although we appreciate the northern lights aren’t guaranteed, on this tour the guide would pull off onto the side of the road and check the sky himself and no one else would be allowed to get out the van so we never even got chance to have a look for the lights ourselves. One side of the van got a glimpse through the window as he was driving but we weren’t given the opportunity at this point to get out for all to see. We were at the other side of the van with frozen windows so did not see a thing. The journey was 5 hours and he drove us all the way to the Russian border with literally one minute off the van where we begged to stretch our legs. We did not get given any of the snacks promised that we had paid for and were told were included, and could not even sit next to each other. So instead we spent 5 hours being driven with no direction, no proper sight or viewing points in mind, not being able to talk to each other, no food or drink, not being able to see anything out the frozen windows and leaving the van for 1 minute in total during this time. A waste of time and money. The thermal boots and jackets definitely are not needed as you spend the whole time with them worn around your waist as you don’t actually leave the van! There was no explanation of the lights and no pre planned idea of what time we were likely to see them so we could set up a viewing point. This is literally just a LONG and EXPENSIVE drive in silence. Well, other than the man snoring next to me. Not the experience we paid A LOT of money for. There’s was also no prior communication before the trip. We had to go into the ticket office ourselves to check our meeting time as no one replied to our message or bothered to confirm timings with us like with the other trips we have booked with other tour operators. Don’t waste your money!!!

Don’t book unless a last minute cancellation is offered! - The problem was not that we didn’t see the lights. It was that they KNEW we wouldn’t because of the cloudy cover, but despite that, they offered no refund (not even a partial one) and no option to cancel. Just before we left the office, the guide said that the chance was low, but again, offered no alternative. Making a fire and having some snacks was not what I signed up for.
Also, despite advertising a hotel pick up, I was asked to come to their office. It wasn’t far, but still, not very professional.
