Such A Fun Day! - Such a fun time! I booked this at the last minute and I wanted something outdoors in the afternoon. The tour operator is so professional and the booking was very easy. We absolutely loved our guide - Nick - and we were the only people on the tour. We drive to a forest on private land and went exploring. Cross country skiing takes some skill but mostly a willingness to fall and get back up again. The fire and tea in the hut were really great. I could not have had a better last day in Rovaniemi.

Beautiful and fun tour - We had a wonderful time on this tour with our guide, Gábor. He told us many interesting things about the area, the company etc. The ski trekking was a lot of fun and our small group (4 people) was great. I highly recommend this tour.

Great first-time cross-country experience - This was so much fun! We were a little bit nervous at first because we had never done cross-country skiing before and weren't sure how strenuous it would be, but we had a great time. We practiced on flat ground, then going up a hill, then going up a steep part of the hill, and then going down. Tyler was an excellent guide. We also really enjoyed the cozy fire and sausages (they had veggie options!) in the teepee. We also really appreciated being able to borrow all the right gear for the trek. I only wish it was longer. It felt like we had just gotten down the technique when it was over :( Wish we could've explored some more!

100% recommend - This was simply amazing ! We went on the morning tour & had the chance to see the sun rise over the hills full of snow & trees. Breathtaking ! Gabor & Barb were two great guides, really nice & fun ! They shared their knowledge about Lapland & Rovaniemi. It was a pleasure doing this tour with them.

The Most Magical Experience - I did four tours with Wild About Lapland and every one of them was an absolute joy. I felt really well taken care of and our guide Gábor was excellent. Knowing I was travelling on my own he offered to take photos of me which I so appreciated. He also gave us great insights into the local culture and waited right up to the end of the night so we had the best chance of seeing the northern lights. Cannot recommend Wild About Lapland and Gábor enough, thank you for the amazing time!

Fun experience, the company should ensure guests are physically fit and capable - The experience was quite fun. We started at the main office in town and changed into gear. They rent warm overalls and boots but nothing else. It’s bitterly cold in the winter so you must have your own gloves and hat. We drove for about 30 minutes before we stopped and got everyone setup with gear. That process took about 20 minutes. We trekked across a frozen lake, took some pictures and enjoyed the scenery. After about 45 minutes of that, our guide let us explore the forest a bit in a smaller group while he prepared the fire for the bbq. We rejoined the main group and had sausages and melted chocolate with marshmallows. Our guide also prepared coffee and tea. Overall, it was a nice experience out in the snow. The main downside is the fact that the company doesn’t ensure everyone is physically fit enough to perform the activity. Our group had a few people who weren’t very fit and we spent a great deal of time waiting for them to either catch up, or figure out how to stand up after they had fallen. This was unfortunate because it limited our experience.
