The best 4 hours I have ever spent at a winery. The Riedel Master Class and Lunch. - The Riedel Master Class and Signature experience was brilliant. Masa showed us how a single wine can taste so differently just by how it is allowed to enter your mouth. We all gained a whole new approach to how we could better enjoy drinking wine. The private meeting room with the largest custom timber V shaped table I have ever seen, surrounded by floor to ceiling vintages of St.Hugo wines just elevates your expectations when you walk in the room. The journey you undertake for the next hour or so only disappoints when you have to leave. We then had the privilege of having lunch in the beautiful St. Hugo dining room. The food is to die for and the staff are so friendly and attentive. You have to try the apple pie Bravo Riedel and St.Hugo.

Excellent service matched with tasty food - We went to St Hugo's restaurant for my partner's birthday. We had a 2-course meal, along with a complementary snack. The food was beautifully presented and tasted good as well. My partner loved the lamb dish with the scallion rosti and spring vegetables. My barramundi with cauliflower puree was also good. I was a little bit disappointed with the options for dessert though- as there was only a choice between sticky date pudding and Bakewell tart, which aren't my favourite desserts. But that didn't take away from the overall experience. The staff were very friendly, and the service was great. The location is also gorgeous, with vineyard views all round. Definitely a place for a special occasion!

A beautiful place, amazing experience - We had a private tour/tasting and lunch with wine pairing at St Hugo's Vineyard in the Barossa Valley. It was a wonderful experience with Lewis, the vineyard's wine ambassador, who told us about the history of the Barossa Valley and the vineyard. Lewis taught us about the grapes and wines--a Riesling, Chardonnay, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon--and particularly how the taste changes depending on the glasses used, which was fascinating and instantly perceptible. After the session, we went upstairs for a lovely 3 course lunch with pairings, using our new-found appreciation for the St Hugo wines. It was a perfect day.

Did not disappoint - We had a Saturday lunch for five. My husband and I ate here earlier in the year and wanted to relive and share the experience with our family. What a lovely setting with great food, wine and views. The colours late autumn are gorgeous and the new leaves just budding a delight. The entrees are exceptional - we will go back to enjoy their kingfish, outstanding gnocchi and light chicken parfait again. As a taster we were given a delicious dip with wonderful roti. The mains were also delicious. We recommend booking a table - they can be busy which is no surprise. VL Traveler

Relaxed and Delicious Lunch and Wine Tasting - SO luck to receive this experience as a Christmas gift! The venue is very smart, warm and welcoming. I especially love that the ceilings are acoustically treated so all those hard and funky surfaces do not make conversation loud and screechy! Louise was our guide through the amazing menu, the short and informative winery walk (after lunch - a great idea) and the wine tasting. She was informative and friendly. We learned lots! Louise explained that the chef is told what wines will be presented with lunch and they concoct a menu to compliment the wines. The food was delicious, nicely spaced and totally matched the food. We were especially amazed by the match of abalone with a delicious red. Highly recommend St Hugo's as a wonderful experience! Thanks to our kids...Hope yours are this generous!

A journey of wines - What a fantastic way to experience wines matched to your meal. Time was taken to explain in detail why each wine was selected and matched. We then did the tour, the cork trees are fascinating and followed it with a seperate wine tasting. Great day

Have left several messages as you are instructed to do when calling Restaurant but no one has ever bothered to call back - I have a party of 5 interested in Wine Tasting and visiting the Restaurant. Have left several messages as you are instructed to do when calling Restaurant but no one has ever bothered to call back. Very unprofessional service. There are so many wineries in the area that are very responsive and welcoming but these guys dont appear to care!!
