Setting Sail in Tortuguero

As a seasoned surfer, I’ve spent countless hours riding the waves and exploring the coastal wonders of Central America. But every now and then, I crave a different kind of adventure—one that takes me away from the salty embrace of the ocean and into the heart of nature. That’s how I found myself in Roxana, ready to embark on a canoe journey through the lush waterways of Tortuguero National Park.

The morning sun was just beginning to cast its golden glow over the canals as I met our guide, Andrews. His warm smile and easygoing demeanor immediately put me at ease. As we pushed off from the shore, the world around us transformed into a serene paradise. The gentle lapping of water against the canoe was a soothing soundtrack to our journey.
